LMS Guidelines

KLU LMS has easy-to-use functionalities and is equipped with a variety of options that enhance your learning
experience. In the next few slides, we will guide you through all these options so that you can learn with the LMS
effortlessly.

To login to your Online Learning Portal - first you have to open - http://onlinelms.kalasalingam.ac.in , preferably
using Google Chrome or any other browser, and you can open the website in any compatible device, be it your
laptop, PC, android phone or a tab.

It will ask you to enter the Username and Password that you must have received at your university email account i.e.
xxxxxxxxxx@klu.ac.in and click on Login button.

Once you click the Log in button, you will be routed to the DASHBOARD of learning portal, where you can access
your courses. This page provides users with details of their academic progress and deadlines of upcoming events. In
the centre is the Course overview block, which allows students and teachers to easily track required activities and
filter courses based on completion.
On the right-hand side, the timelines, online users, latest badges, calendar, and upcoming events blocks are
available.

Timeline - The Timeline block provides an overview of deadlines. Deadlines may be sorted by Overdue or Upcoming
due dates or by due dates per course.

Latest Badge - This section displays badges earned by the user in different activities across all the courses.

Upcoming Events - The Upcoming events block displays events from the Calendar in a summarised list. This section
will remind you of the important assessment submission dates.

On the Dashboard you will be able to view the live courses available under Course overview in which you will have
the list of all courses available at your account. Click on the course name to enter the course and begin the course
from start here section.

In the course click on the menu icon available on the left panel to open the course index.
Scroll the page down till the Mid Term Assessment section and click on the assessment link to open.

Go through the instructions and once you are ready click on Attempt Quiz button.

NOTE : The assessment is to be submitted within 45 minutes once started.


All the questions of the assessment will be available on single page, the timer is available towards the top of the
page and it starts as you click on the start quiz button. Quiz Navigation section is available towards top right block
area and it allows you to directly move to a particular question in the assessment.

All the answers are auto saved and as you complete the test click on the Finish attempt link available at the end of
the page and in the Quiz navigation section also. It will show you the attempt summary so that you may want to go
back and complete the pending questions – click on Return to attempt or click Submit all and finish.

Once your attempt is submitted successfully you will be redirected to summary of your attempt
