Scope of Work
Timeline and Reporting:
Title or proposed position/work: Logistics and Report Writing Consultant
Location: Washington, DC, Baltimore, or any country where Corus International has operations in LAC

Background:

Corus International is a family of organizations that believes that those born into impossible
circumstances deserve the opportunity for a better life. Corus was formed through the strategic merger
of IMA World Health (operating as a public health organization since 1960), and Lutheran World Relief
(operating as a livelihoods organization since 1945), and today includes smaller entities of CGA
Technologies, Ground Up Investing, and Farmers Market Coffee. Corus International works in over 20
countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, primarily focusing on health, livelihoods, and
emergency response.

Objective:
The logistics and report-writing consultant will provide expert logistical support and comprehensive
report-writing services for the LAC region. This consultancy aims to ensure efficient logistical operations
and high-quality documentation, facilitating the successful implementation of project activities and
reporting in collaboration with the HQ and Regional staff.

 Ensure seamless logistical operations for regional and project activities.


 Produce high-quality reports documenting project progress and outcomes.
 Support the coordination and management of regional and project-related events and activities.
 Assist in generating the regional budget for fiscal year 2025 as needed.

Expected Tasks:

Meeting Coordination and Documentation:


- Take detailed notes on regional, project, and/or stakeholder meetings when needed.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items.
- Assist in scheduling and organizing virtual and in-person meetings.

Event Coordination:
- Help coordinate regional events, including logistical support, hotel reservations, venue rental,
contingency and security plans, etc.
- Develop and implement event timelines and checklists to ensure all tasks are completed on
schedule.

- Liaise with vendors and service providers to secure necessary event supplies and services.

Information Gathering and Reporting:


- Assist the regional team in gathering project information for biweekly organization updates.
- Support different country teams in collecting and compiling data for quarterly project reviews.
- Assist regional teams in various report-writing tasks, ensuring accuracy and coherence.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and other documents as needed.
- Assist in writing project reports as needed, including translating donor reports from Spanish to
English.

Onboarding and Integration:


- Assist in coordinating meetings, notes, and other tasks needed for onboarding key regional
members joining the organization during the consultancy.
- Develop onboarding materials and schedules for new team members.

Budget and Procurement Support:


- Assist the regional team in various tasks related to the budget process for the fiscal year 2025.
- Help prepare and review budget documents and financial reports.
- Assist the regional team in various procurement procedures related to regional events scheduled to
take place during this fiscal year.
- Work with the Procurement team on tasks related to acquisitions, including liaising with interested
project/country teams and the HQ Procurement team, filling out documentation and cross-checking
internal/donor policies

Communications and Coordination:


- Coordinate between the regional team and the organization’s communications team to capture
regional events that could be advertised on our social media platforms.
- Assist in drafting and editing content for social media posts and other communication materials.

Deliverables/Commodity list with specifications:

- Monthly report with tasks accomplished and pending tasks will need to be provided along with a
monthly invoice. This will be approved by the Regional Project Director.
- Comprehensive final report summarizing consultancy achievements, challenges, and
recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications and Competences:


- Proven experience in logistics, project management, and event coordination.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is a must.

Working Conditions and other specifications/Terms and Conditions:

- The consultant will be based in any country where LWR has a presence and the possibility of
working remotely as required.
- Depending on the region's needs, a regular presence at the office may be necessary if hired
from the DMV area.

- The consultancy will last from June 17th to September 30th, 2024.

- The consultant is expected to be available during regular business hours, with flexibility for
occasional evening or weekend work as needed to meet project deadlines.
