LESSON PLAN

THEME 8: THE WORLD AROUND US

LESSON 1

I. Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students can:

• Identify landmarks in cities around the world

• Use "be going to" to talk about plans

II. Teaching aids:

- Teacher: Laptop, book, chalk,…

- Students: textbook, notebook, pen…

III. Procedures

us- Lesson 1”
Vocabulary
( 35 minutes) *Teaching vocabulary (10 minutes)
-T use techniques to elicit new words - Ss answer
* Checking vocabulary
Rub out and remember ( 8 minutes)
- After Ss copy new words into their books and
then ask them to close their books
- Rub out the new words one at a time
- Each time T rub out a word in English , point to
Vietnamese and ask “ What’s this in English”
- When all the English words are rubbed out, go
through the Vietnamese list and get the Ss to call
out the English word
-After that, T invites SS write the new words in
English on the board.
