2. Check Levels, elevations, distances & sizes are as per

approved shop drawings & material approvals.
3. Ensure all material approvals & material verification records
have been approved by the consultant.
4. Only trained & experienced personnel shall perform the
work.
5. Ensure civil clearance has been issued prior to start of any

installation.
1. Ensure that pipe supports, clamps, rubber inserts are
properly installed.
Installation for the chilled water piping and

2. Check that location of pipe is as per approved drawing.

3. Check support spacing according to approved shop
drawing and specification.
4. Check for all pipework installation has been levelled,
plumbed & aligned.
Accessories

5. Check that all joints are properly welded.

6. Check the strainers/valves/gauges & other accessories
been correctly installed as per approved drawings,
specification & clearances for operation/ maintenance
been provided.
7. Check that expansion / contraction joints are provided as
per approved shop drawings.
8. Check for drain & air vent points been allowed or installed
as per the approved shop drawings.
9. Welding works shall be inspected by the specialist
consultant approved by the Consultant & report or results
of inspection shall be available during inspection.
Leak
10. Check that pipes have been tested for leaks. Attached
Test
separate checklist for all test results.
11. Check that all open ends have been closed for protection
from construction debris.
After Testing

12. Ensure pipe passing through Fire walls, slabs, partitions

are provided with proper Fire stop and or sleeves as
applicable.
13. Check that annular spaces between pipes and sleeves
have been sealed with approved material.

1. Check materials are as per approved material
submittal & approved MVR.
2. Ensure all insulating materials are in accordance with
approved materials for types, thickness, density,
brand & finishes.
3. Ensure that all materials are free from damages,
debris & dust.
4. Check the insulation is applied in accordance with the
approved drawing details & manufacturers’

5. Check the insulation is properly & correctly aligned,
lapped & adequately bonded. Ensure no gaps & shall
cover the entire surface of the pipes.
6. Check the vapour sealing has been correctly applied.
Ensure that all penetrations to the insulation are
properly sealed.
7. Check the vapour seal around the support & anchor if
properly installed. Any extra Insulation to be cut
around obstructions.
8. Ensure that the insulation around the joints is not
opening. Check for any insulation becoming loose.
9. Check that high-density rubber blocks at point of pipe
support are insulated as per specification.
10. Check that service identification labels are provided
on exposed insulated chilled water pipe works and in
access doors.
11. Check that annular spaces between insulation and
sleeve have been sealed with approved material.
12. Ensure that all pipe work insulation is not sagging.
