1 Work in groups and discuss the questions.
1 Which social media sites do you use? I usually use Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube.
2 Which social media site is your favorite and the one you use most often?
Explain your answer.
My favorite social media is Instagram, I use it a lot because it has a lot
of information and pictures about the topics that interest me.
3 How often do you change your passwords? I rarely do it, I’m very careful that type of things.
4 Do you use the appropriate privacy settings? Yes, I do. I have the fear to violating the policy of privacy.
5 Have your accounts ever been hacked? No, thank god no. I heard it is embarrassing because many people has this
problems with their accounts.
6 Do you have a large or small digital footprint? Explain your answer. No, I haven’t. I use a big footprint because I
have many information I read or search on Google or watching videos.

2 Watch the video. Does the narrator of the video have a large
or small digital footprint?

3 Complete the sentences.

Status updates, blog entries, profile bios, 1,000 of fhotos.
3 How did she discover that one of her accounts had been hacked?
One of her friend found a profile of her in a dating account.
4 What did she do to sort out the problem?
she start to send emails to all her contacts to apologize.
5 Why did she think that hackers had been able to get into her account?
She got many information about her profiles and maibe it was easy for somebody to get her information.

Social networking sites have a negative and sometime destructive influence on
our way of life.
Yes, Im totally agree. It has negative consecuences because some people spend
many time on social media and phisicaly and mentaly they are forgetting their life,
having a life full of bad habits, and in a way it is a conduct very destructive.
