Life is in water. According to Engr.

Desquitado (2019), everyone must always

preserve, conserve, and protect this incredibly important element in order for mankind to

live. Reusing water is a vital part of any endeavor to conserve water. Any water use that

produces waste must be limited in order for us to reuse water. Wastewater of any quality

must also be processed for reuse before being disposed of in any receiving water body, such

as rivers, bays, or lakes.

Domestic wastewater, industrial wastewater, and agricultural wastewater are a few

of the wastewaters that should be taken into consideration for treatment. Domestic

wastewater is the waste produced by homes, businesses, and organizations like schools. On

the other hand, industrial wastewater is produced by businesses in the manufacturing and

industrial sectors. Cattle farms, pig farms, and poultry farms produce agricultural

wastewaters. The kind of wastewater must be determined in order to construct the

treatment facilities and the treatment method.

This research can also be their future reference just in case the future generations

want to conduct the same research. Through this research the researchers can change the

perspective of the future generations that wastewater is not just known as being one of the

disposals of man, but it can also be one of the key factors to an eco-friendly and less waste

environment.

The main objective of this study is to identify which microbes is effective to mix with

wastewater for efficient water treatment. Although the usage of microbial fuel cells is still

not fully perfected, it has a lot of potential. The power output obtained from a single

microbial fuel cell (MFC) unit is insufficient for the majority of practical applications, so a

series of configurations of individual MFC units needs to be implemented to increase power.

The study will include lab tests, performance analysis, and MFC optimization under

various operating conditions. The findings will enable a more suitable mixture with a

microbial fuel cell and advancing wastewater treatment techniques and encouraging the

adoption of microbial-based energy recovery technology.
