Chapter 13

Chapter 14
1. The pills are called Wonka-Vite.
2. Each pill makes a person 20 years younger.

4. Grandma Georgina worried because they were wriggling, like Mexican jumping
beans.
5. One unusual ingredient is the hoof of a manticore.
Chapter 15
1. Mr. Wonka put the recipe back into his pocket.
2. Grandma Georgina got the bottle of pills first.
3. Grandma Georgina disappeared after taking the pills.
4. Grandpa George and Grandma Josephine turned into babies.
5. The Oompa-Loompas sing about not taking medicine from the shelf.

Chapter 16
1. Charlie wants to bring back his Grandma Georgina because she became a Minus.
Mr. Wonka made something called Vita-Wonk to help turn Minuses back to
normal.
2. Mr. Wonka collected old things from animals and made Vita-Wonk with them.
When a young Oompa-Loompa took it, he turned into an old man.
3. Charlie went on a wild ride in the Elevator with Mr. Wonka. He saw many strange
things outside, like a quarry with Oompa-Loompas and a giant gusher of
chocolate.
4. Mr. Wonka collected stuff from really old animals for Vita-Wonk. When the
Oompa-Loompa took it, he became old, like the Minuses, and then Mr. Wonka
saved them.
5. It was a bit hard for Mr. Wonka to save the Minuses, but he managed to save all
of them, 131 in total.

Chapter 17
1. Charlie felt scared in the misty place.
2. Mr. Wonka and Charlie had to be careful because there were dangerous creatures
called Gnoolies there.
3. Gnoolies are dangerous creatures that can bite you, and if they do, you become a
Minus.
4. Mr. Wonka found Grandma Georgina by using a spray-gun to turn her back into
a Plus from a Minus.
5. After Mr. Wonka used the spray-gun on Grandma Georgina, she disappeared
from Minusland and became a Plus again.

Chapter 18
1. Charlie felt sad when he saw Grandma Georgina looking very old.
2. Mrs. Bucket was scared about giving Grandma Wonka-Vite because she thought
it might make her even older or something bad might happen.
3. After taking Wonka-Vite, Grandma Georgina started looking younger and less
wrinkly.
4. As Mr. Wonka counted down the years, Grandma Georgina became more lively
and started talking about historical events.
5. Grandma Georgina was surprised and confused when she realized her age and
saw the babies at the end of the bed.

Chapter 19
1. Vita-Wonk is a medicine that makes people older.
2. Grandma Georgina is worried that they might give too much Vita-Wonk to
Grandpa George and make him very old, like a caveman.
3. Mr. Wonka plans to give Vita-Wonk drop by drop into spoons and then into their
mouths.
4. When Charlie gives Vita-Wonk to Grandma Josephine, she instantly grows from a
baby into an old woman.
5. After taking Vita-Wonk, Grandma Georgina is glad that Grandpa George won't
wet the bed anymore now that he's grown up again.

Chapter 20
1. Mr. Wonka asked Grandpa George, Grandma Georgina, and Grandma Josephine
to help at the factory after the excitement.
2. The Oompa-Loompa gave Mr. Wonka a big envelope.
3. Mr. Wonka read a letter from the White House that talked about inviting brave
astronauts to a celebration party.
4. Grandpa Joe and the others were very happy and started dancing and laughing.
5. Mr. Wonka suggested landing the helicopter on a big shop's roof so the
grandparents could buy clothes on their way to the White House.
