ADVANCED HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT (BA 239)

Course Description:

This course examines the importance oI human resources as the most vital asset oI any organization. The Iirst part delves into the
signiIicant role oI human resources in organization eIIiciency and eIIectiveness. The second part deals about the various tools oI human
resource development in developing employee`s potentials and strengthening competencies and capabilities needed towards an improved
organization perIormance.

Course Objectives:

At the end oI the course, students are expected to:
1. Understand the principles governing human resource management or development as practiced in the country and abroad;
2. Know the new developments in the Iield oI human resources;
3. Have an idea why we study the structure oI the enterprise or any other organization or institution;
4. Trace the growth oI the diIIerent activities in management-labor relations to relations management and development;
5. Study perIormance appraisal and its importance;
6. Understand the importance oI wage and salary administration which is a major concern oI management; and,
7. Understand labor-management relations.
