Depression is a mental condition that affects millions of people worldwide. Despite being highly
prevalent, some people still misunderstand the severity of the illness. Depression can cause a person to
feel hopeless, isolated, and in extreme cases, lead to suicide. It is important to understand the struggles
people face while dealing with depression so that we can help them before it is too late.

The story of the little girl that struggles through depression is a heartbreaking one. The little girl's name
was Jenny, she was only nine years old, and she struggled with depression for most of her life. She lived
in a small town near the countryside with her parents and younger brother. She was an excellent student,
an avid reader, and a talented artist. However, despite her successes, Jenny found it challenging to control
her emotions and thoughts.

Jenny's parents noticed her struggling to cope with her emotions at an early age. She would often cry
herself to sleep, refuse to go to school, and isolate herself from others. Her parents tried to help her by
taking her to therapy and counseling sessions, but they couldn't find a solution to her problems. As Jenny
grew older, her condition worsened. She had trouble making friends, and she would overthink every
social interaction, making her even more anxious.

When Jenny started middle school, the situation escalated. She had difficulty adjusting to the new
environment, the larger number of students, and the social demands that came with it. She was bullied by
a group of girls that made fun of her for being shy and introverted. These girls would normally be calling
her names and saying they hate her, and they wish she was never born. Jenny became more and more
isolated, and she began to feel like no one cared about her.
Her parents continued to take her to therapy sessions, but nothing seemed to work. She would start taking
medication, but her mood would swing in different directions, making her feel even worse. Despite her
parents' love and support, Jenny felt like a burden to them, and she didn't want to bother them with her
problems anymore.

One day, her parents found Jenny's diary, and they were shocked to read about her struggles with
depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts, they then started to watch her closely and watch her body
language and how far she is drifting from them. They immediately took her to the hospital, where she
was admitted to the psychiatric ward for children. The doctors prescribed new medications and therapy
sessions, but Jenny continued to feel hopeless.

Sadly, three years after her hospitalization, Jenny took her own life. She was only twelve years old. Her
family, friends, and community were devastated by her death, and they couldn't understand why such a
young child would feel such overwhelming and hopeless emotions.

Jenny's story is a tragic reminder of how devastating depression can be, even for children. Depression is a
complex illness that can affect anyone regardless of age, gender, or social status. It is crucial to educate
ourselves about depression so that we can recognize its symptoms and find help for those who suffer from
it.

One way to help people suffering from depression is to provide them with a supportive environment. Like
for instant talking to people in a formal way like family and friends. People with depression often feel
isolated and alone, and having a support system can make a significant difference in their mental health.
Friends and family members should try to understand the emotions and behaviors associated with
depression, rather than dismissing them or labeling them as attention-seeking.

Additionally, people with depression should seek professional help from therapists, counselors, or
psychiatrists. Therapy, medication, and other treatments can help alleviate the symptoms of depression,
making it easier to cope with life's challenges.

In conclusion, Jenny's story is a heartbreaking one that reminds us of the devastating effects of
depression. Depression is a severe illness that requires treatment and support. It is important to educate
ourselves about depression and provide those who suffer from it with a supportive environment. Together
we can help those that struggle with depression and prevent future tragedies.
