If the heel and the sock leg are the same color:
MDS, knit across the rest of the stitches, rejoin in the round, and continue to knit
across the second knitting needle.

If the heel and the sock leg are different colors:

• Cut the heel color yarn leaving an 8” (20 cm) tail
• Pass the one double stitch from the right to left knitting needle. With the
sock leg color, knit the double stitch together as if it were a single stitch.
• MDS by bringing the tail of the heel color to the front of the work then pulling
it up and over the left knitting needle to the back of the work, knit the newly
created double stitch together using the sock leg color
• Continue knitting across the rest of the knitting needle, rejoin in the round,
and work across the second half of the stitches.

Leg (Video Time 33:38)

Continue knitting round after round until your sock reaches 2” (5 cm) less than the
desired length.

Cuff
If you are knitting your socks with a contrasting color for the cuff, cut your sock leg color
leaving an 8” (20 cm) tail and join your cuff color.

Ribbing Round: *Knit 1, Purl 1* continue repeating between the *s across the round

Continue repeating the ribbing round for 2” (5cm)

Cast Off (Video Time 38:18)

Use a stretchy bind-off to cast-off all of the stitches. I recommend using the method
shown in the video: Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off.
