These files were created using a System Exclusive utility program called “MIDI-
OX”. You can download the latest version of MIDI- Ox at: http://www.midiox.com
You will also find a text file for each Electribe product listing the pattern name,
tempo and other information. These text files can be opened in the Notepad
accessory in Windows (or nearly any other word-processing program).
MIDI-OX is easy to use. After you have installed MIDI- OX on your PC, Open the
MIDI-OX program. Select “MIDI DEVICES” from the OPTIONS menu to set the
current MIDI In and Out ports. Then click on the second file folder icon (“Send a
System Exclusive File to MIDI Out Port”.) After checking to see that the
“PROTECT” function is off on your Electribe, simply click on the Icon for either
the EA-1 or ER-1 pattern data. The data will be sent when you select OPEN.
Remember that this will load all new data into bank D and re-load the factory
patterns into Banks A, B, and C; replacing any data currently in the Electribe.
You may wish to save your data first.
