Richards named MVP

Glasgow was well represented at thd35th Annual Big
Sky Class B All-Star Football Game. The game had the best
high school seniors playing one more game in their career.
The game is usually held in Billings, but this year it
was in Red Lodge at Palisades Field. The game puts the
North against the South, North leads the series 18-17 after
losing to the South 21-14. South also won last year with
a come-from-behind 14-8 victory. North had won the
previous four games.
Glasgow coach Patrick Barnett was the head coach
for the North. He had his assistant Sam Tedrow along with
Anthony Red Cloud of Wolf Point, Troy Truman, Eureka,
Jamie Jones, Missoula Loyola, and Eric Burrows, Florence.
Toryn Richards was named the North’s offensive
MVP, he caught a 48-yard pass from AJ Truman of Eureka
for a touchdown in the fourth quarter with 6:10 to play.

The North had taken a 7-0 lead in the first qiater
when Talen Reynolds of Loyola scored from 12-yards out
with 5:12 to play. Lyttle kicked the extra point. Richards
also had a 20 yard catch in the game.
South took a 14-7 lead in the second frame. Shane
Williams of Three Forks ran in from 2-yards out and Brett
Hasler of Huntley Prof\ject booted the extra point with
0:09 left. Aidan Lammers of Shepherd had a 7-yard run at
the 3:40 mark and Hasler was good with his PAT kick.
Williams scored on a 5-yard run with 6:06 to play in
the third. Hasler’s kick gave the South a 21-7 lead.
Reynods rushed for 57 yards on 14 carries, Truman
had 40 yards on seven carries and was 6 of 21 in passing
for 94 yards.
Williams rushed 13 times for 67 yards and Lammers
14 times for 89 yards.
Red Lodge coach Adam White was the coach for the South.
The Scotties also had Vaughn Miller and Kohl
Kittleson play in the game. Others from the North B that
played were Brendon Molenda, Kenon Branch, Sean
Weird, and Tate Monroe of Cut Bank. Tysten Robertson
and Trevor Volk,. Conread. Charlie Page, Lennoxx Lilley,
and Preeston Swenson. Wolf Point. E’Mbow Saint Louis,
Malta and McCoy pf Fairfield.
Thompson Falls, and Whitehall along with Loyola,
Florence and Erreka had players on the team.
Williams was the South offensive MVP and Tyler
McGrady of Jefferson the defensive MVP. Ethan Porter of
Florence was the defensive MVP for the North.
