The review of HSE within the Project is a continuous process, nevertheless there shall be formal
reviews by AL SAKHAA Executive Management to ensure the HSE policies, programs, plans and tar-
gets are effective.
During the Meetings this report will be reviewed and where opportunities for improvement exist
these will be communicated to the Project Director

9. CONTRACTORS MANAGEMENT AND REQUIREMENTS

9.1 Contractors Qualification and Evaluation

Project Manager with the support of Project HSE Manager shall coordinate the pre-qualification
process of all prospective Sub Contractors and ensures that those have the capabilities to comply
with the CONTRACT HSE requirements.
9.2 Contractor Management
Project Manager shall develop a set of instructions for the Sub Contractors which draws on local
legal requirements, COMPANY’s HSE standards and requirements as specified in this Project HSE Plan.
These instructions shall be included in the head contract clauses. The requirements shall be in a format and
level of detail that will be readily understood by the Sub Contractors. AL SAKHAA Rep. shall provide and
explain these HSE instructions to each Sub Contractor management at the HSE kick-off meeting.
Project Manager shall ensure that all Sub Contractors manage the HSE in compliance with
COMPANY HSEMS and Project HSE plan requirements. Sub-Contractors shall not be allowed to mobi-
lize and start work until they have HSEMS, plans and procedures in place, which are in line HSEMS,
Project HSE Plan and procedures and approved by AL SAKHAA. Prior to mobilization.
AL SAKHAA Rep. shall review and monitor the performance of each Sub Contractor regularly to en-
sure that the required HSE standards are being maintained. In case any shortcoming(s) is identified, the
Sub Contractor will be assisted to implement the necessary corrective action(s).
