Okay before we start our discussion for today, let us

first have a game. The game called "I know what

PRESENTATION OF TOPIC
In our previous activity, I asked you to identify what
is asked. Now let's proceed to the real discussion.
What do you call the act of giving meaning to an
object, place, or idea?
Very good! It is to define something. How about the
statement that gives meaning of a term?
 Yes correct! it is a definition. When we give meaning
of a particular term, we are actually defining that
term and the statement we use to give meaning to a
term is called a definition. These concepts are very
essential to our discussion for today because we are
going to tackle about Technical and Operational
Definitions.

Can anyone tell the class where do we usually use

technical and operational definition? Excellent! we
use technical and operational when we are asked to
write an academic paper particularly a research
. paper. Technical and Operational are of big help to
researchers in conducting a study. I have here the
meaning of technical and operational definition. Who

Technical definition it Operational

technical definition, the
parenthetical and the
sentence definition.

it is used to define

operational definition.

definitions.

Parenthetical Type A definitions are

Operational Definition are the two different types of
definition. Technical Definition it refers to the
definition of a word as used in a particular field like
science, law, or engineering. Mostly refers to the
aspect of explaining or describing any terminology.
The definition of terms/words are found in the
dictionary. While operational definition it is a result
ABSTRACT of the process of operationalization and it is used to
define something (term/object)in terms of process. It
is the process of defining a word/term of how it is
used in a sentence, or using context clues. It is the
application of the word/term. These may include the
various attempts to define or explain a certain
process and its properties including but not limited to
the characterization of the event itself.
Okay class, it seems to me that you have already
familiarized yourselves with the concepts related to
technical and operational definitions. I have here
example definitions that will be flashing on the
screen and what you will do is you will identify what
type of definitions the given statement below. Are my
