MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is the debut work from author
Ransom Riggs, it is not only a successful work on the page, but also a famous
cinematic work for children of all ages.

The story is about a boy named Jacob, who from childhood heard his
grandfather tell mysterious stories about World War II, the time he lived in Miss
Peregrine's house. Everyone thought what he said was nonsense. Until his
grandfather died due to a mysterious reason, he decided to go with his father to
the island of Cairmholm and he met Miss Peregrine and other friends with
supernatural abilities. He was pulled into incredibly magical adventures that he
had previously thought were just a fantasy. At the end of the battle, he saved his
grandfather and lived with him afterward

From a personal perspective, I feel that the book was successful in portraying
and expressing the emotions of the characters, promoting exploration and
imagination in youth. In particular, the detail of the boy choosing to leave his
friends to return to live with his grandfather deserves to be considered the best
and most touching detail in the book, it makes us feel impressed by the love that
the grandfather has for his grandchildren and also the courage, intelligence, and
bravery of Jacob. But besides that, there are also points that are not really perfect
such as the certainty and logic of the story line. There are details in the story that
confuse readers, such as how the boy Jacob found the time loop and fought
monsters or how Miss Peregrine creates magic.

But overall, this is a book worth reading and passing time on relaxing days,
quite suitable for children, enhancing their rich imagination. According to book
critics' ratings, it gets a score of 7 out of 10, so I think you should try reading it
when you get a chance.
