PROJECT TITLE: A Construction of an On-campus Printing Service System for Senior
Highschool Students of IPSHS
TYPE OF PROJECT: Educational Equipment Assistance
NUMBER OF BENEFICIARIES: one hundred and forty-two senior high school students
LOCATON OF BENEFICIARIES: Mabatobato, Lamut, Ifugao
PROJECT DURATION: August 1, 2022 – June 1, 2023
AREA OF PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION: Ifugao Provincial Science High School, Mabatobato,
Lamut, Ifugao
BUDGET REQUIREMENT: Php 19,500.00
BUDGET REQUESTED: Php 20, 000.00

I. Background/Situational Analysis
In meeting learning expectations and competencies of IPSHS; as for students, one way
to do it is by providing printed hardcopy of outputs as required by subject teachers. However,
not all students can afford to buy their own printer.
In connection to this, there are few computer shops located within downtown of Lamut,
Ifugao who offer printing services. In most cases, those computer shops are unexpectedly close
and sometimes sudden power outage occur. Such scenarios trigger stress on students'
academic performance; not to mention their expenditures when commuting back and forth.
Hence, a group of IPSHS ABM students decided to propose a project – “A Construction of an
On-campus Printing Service System for Senior Highschool Students of IPSHS” to aid co-
learners with assistance in addressing their common problem in terms of academic and
curricular activities.

II. Project Objectives

The Project “A Construction of an On-campus Printing Service System for Senior
Highschool Students of IPSHS” aims to:

✓provide convenient printing services easily accessible for students

✓alleviate students' stress and worry

✓help students in achieving better academic performance

III. Expected Output or Outcome

By the end of the next school year 2022-2023, the following outputs are expected:
1. 87% of IPSHS senior students avail the easy-access printing service;
2. Improvement on the academic performance of IPSHS senior students by 30% in
terms of timeliness on the passing of printed requirements; and
3. Improvement on the students’ mental health regarding their stress and worry on the
lack of accessible printing service by 50%.

IV. RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN

The following are the foreseen risks or problems that can happen when the
equipment(printer) will be obtained and get used by the students followed by the measures that
would mitigate adverse effects as follows:

1. Maintenance of the Equipment and Supplies to be used

The students that are going to use for the equipment should be charged depending on
the quality and content of their document or file as well as the size of the coupon bond to be
used. There will be a signage that will show the charges for every kind of prints. Payment will be
collected by the SSG treasurer and just in case the equipment gets damage they would use the
money to repair the printer.
For the supplies to be used, they would also use the collected money to purchase the
supplies needed for the printer like coupon bond (in different sizes) and the printer inks.

2. Safety and Security of the Equipment

The equipment will be placed in the faculty room for its security and safety. Signage will
be posted beside the printer indicating the proper ways of printing to avoid equipment damages.
For the sake of the equipment and to help those students who doesn’t really know how to
operate the printer, someone should assist them, it’s either from the officers of the SSG or
Teacher.

3. Issues on Electricity (Brownout)

The UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) gives you 15 minutes at least to save and turn
off the computer properly to avoid damaging the computer also to avoid losing unsaved works.
Although brownout is inevitable and affects all printing services, this can serve as a temporary
solution, especially on documents that are needed as soon as possible.

4. Lifespan of the Printer

The average lifespan of a printer is around 3-5 years. With proper upkeep and
maintenance, the printer can last longer so the holder of the equipment should handle it with
security and care. If the equipment is damaged beyond control or doesn’t operate anymore, the
team will try to propose another project regarding this equipment.
