Following Ana Kubu’s showcase,
designer Rafael Rivero from the
Dominican Republic presented his
collection. His designs were modeled
by Agnes Models, one of New York's
premier modeling agencies, led by
Hidelky De Pena. The announcement
of a partnership between New York
Fashion Award and Agnes Models
promises exciting future collaborations
on their platform.
Next year, the New York Fashion
Awards will return in February,
continuing the tradition of honoring
excellence with another 33 awards.
Additionally, this year marks the
expansion of the awards to Puerto
Rico with the second edition of the
Puerto Rico Fashion Awards, further
celebrating industry achievements.
Furthermore, the inaugural edition of
the Gentleman Luxury Business
Awards will take place both in New
York and Puerto Rico, dedicated to
recognizing young entrepreneurs.
In conclusion, the 33rd Annual Fashion,
Beauty, and Health Industry Awards
was a resounding success. The
evening celebrated remarkable
individuals and fostered a sense of
community and collaboration within
these dynamic fields. The night left an

well. Polka dots, mini
rosettes, gingham print, and
ruffled trims are all over the
swim lineups for the season,
making this year’s beachside
outings a fashion-forward
affair. While a gingham or

trend, a more experimental
approach would be going for

with modern takes on the ‘80s
nostalgia print.
Then, there’s the continued relevance

authorities introduced a new
series of affordable properties.
However, not everyone can buy
them. If you want to apply for
this initiative, know that
potential owners must be under
45 years old, in a marital or
extramarital partnership, have
no criminal record, and must
not already own property in the
country.

Once, peripheral destinations and distant urban centers were
the domain of ultra-luxurious resorts. Now, the world's
largest hotel brands are trying to make their way, attempting
to attract a new kind of tourist who has grown weary of
private pools, penthouse suites, and incredibly luxurious
butlers ready to cater to their every need. For those who
have seen and experienced much, the latest and most
exclusive luxury is an address in a place situated in the
middle of nowhere.
In response, the world's largest hotel groups are eager to join
the action, building where you would least expect them, at
the very ends of the earth.
Take, for example, the Moxy Tromsø hotel (only $150 per
night), which opened in June over 320 kilometers north of
the Arctic Circle. It is the northernmost hotel in the entire
Marriott Bonvoy; no small feat in a group that encompasses
more than 8,000 properties. "The expansion of the Moxy
brand is not about being everywhere, in every market, but is
based on finding the right destinations that help us pay
homage to the playful spirit of the brand," says Brian
Jaymont, Global Brand Leader for Aloft Hotels and Moxy
Hotels.
Hyatt is also going where hotel chains have not gone before.
Its Unbound Collection stands behind the Commune By The
Great Wall hotel ($177 per night), opened in 2021 in rural
Beijing. It is connected by a private path to an unrestored
section of the Great Wall of China. It's the type of
experience that travelers bring home and becomes a
cherished memory. "For Unbound Collection, it's all about
the story; that's the beauty of this brand," says Katie
Johnson, Global Head of the Independent Collection for
Hyatt. "These are unique, curated experiences that are unlike
anything else."
When the Great Wall of China is simply too crowded for
you, consider visiting deep into the interior of northwest
China with a stay at the Conrad Urumqi ($129 per night).
This luxury brand in the Hilton family takes travelers to the
capital of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region with this
property, opened in 2021. Sometimes, off-the-beaten-path
destinations are even hidden within parts of the world you
might otherwise be familiar with. While the Caribbean is no
secret, how many people, unlike the Caribbean, go to the
island of Roatán, off the coast of Honduras? Add your name
to the list by checking into the Kimpton Grand Roatán
Resort + Spa ($329 per night). The 119-room property in
the IHG Hotels & Resorts portfolio opened this October on

The project, called Esencia, will include
luxury hotel rooms and branded
residences at a site on the island’s west
coast, according to a statement
Thursday. The development will be
anchored by hotel operators including
the Aman Group, Mandarin Oriental
Hotel Group and Rosewood Hotels &
Resorts. Meanwhile, the developers are
working with JPMorgan Chase & Co. as
the lead bank for financing.
“Puerto Rico, and its west coast
specifically, is a beautiful and vibrant
place and one of the most promising
growth markets in the world,” Jamie
Reuben, a principal at Reuben Brothers,
said in an emailed statement. “We saw
an opportunity to make a transformative
investment while creating thousands of
jobs.”
The site includes more than 2,000 acres
(809 hectares) of land, and will feature
two golf courses, an equestrian center
and a bilingual K-12 school. The plan will
be implemented in five phases, with the
first expected to be completed three
years after starting construction.

For the f irst time, the powerful oil-rich kingdom is considering budget cuts, threatening to halt
many of the excessive development plans envisioned for the Vision 2030 project. Saudi Arabia is
rapidly approaching its goal to become one of the world’s most iconic tourist destinations by 2030.
Despite best efforts, multi-billion-dollar projects are in a race against time and continue to add
new features to an already ambitious plan.

For the f irst time, the Kingdom has acknowledged that some projects, initiated as part of the
economic transformation plan, may not meet the 2030 completion deadlines. This delay is seen as
benef icial by the finance minister, who believes that extending some projects will benefit the
economy. The government is preparing for annual budget cuts until 2026.

This strategy will significantly contribute to capacity building and alleviating inflationary pressures.
With widespread development, timing the plan will help ease supply bottlenecks. Finance Minister
Mohammed Al Jadaan did not specify which projects would be affected. "It takes longer to build
factories and develop suff icient human resources," Al Jadaan stated in Riyadh. While some
megaprojects will slow down, others nearing completion will be accelerated. Those still in the
planning stage or awaiting announcement will have extended deadlines. "Some strategies are
postponed, and others will be financed after 2030," said Al Jadaan. Vision 2030, the extremely
ambitious initiative of Crown Prince Mohammed, aims to diversify the oil-dependent economy and
attract foreign investment. Recent project announcements include Epicon, Utamo entertainment
center, Neom Leyja, Qiddiya, Siranna, a luxury hotel with hexagonal pillars, and many others. By
revising spending plans, the Saudi government has already saved about 225 billion riyals (60 billion
dollars), according to Al Jadaan. "Optimizing spending is not just about reducing costs," he
observed. "It's about using resources in the most efficient way to achieve optimal returns.
