● The holiday homework should be done as

per the instructions.

● It is compulsory for all the students to

complete the work.

● Do your work neatly & as per the

instructions given.

● Manage your time in such a way that a little

work is done every day and there is no piling
up for the last moment. Keep a fixed time for
doing your work every day.

● Enjoy the activities so that the work

becomes fun.

● Do it in the same sequence as given.

HOLIDAYS HOMEWORK ENGLISH

1.Maintain your English notebook with all the

topics covered in the class till now.
2.Revise all the topics covered.
3. Read the newspaper or watch the news daily
and note one major headline with date on your
notebook.
4. Read the chapters from both textbooks, THE
FIRST FLIGHT and FOOTPRINTS WITHOUT FEET.
5. Prepare the topics taught for class tests.
6. No need for a separate notebook. Do everything
on the fair notebook.
7. Search worksheets online for the following
grammar topics and solve on your fair notebook
(i)errors (ii) omissions (iii) rearrangement of
jumbled words (iv) gap filling ( for gap filling the
topics should cover MODALS, FORMS OF
VERB,TENSES,REPORTED SPEECH,DETERMINERS)
8. Write one letter each of COMPLAINT,PLACING
ORDER.ENQUIRY, TO THE EDITOR.

1.Revise all the chapters done in the class.

2.Solve at least 20 extra questions from every

chapter from any reference book in a separate
notebook.

manual.(Activity done in your class).

4.Make a Chart on Autobiography of any one Indian

Mathematician.

Physics:-

1.Revise chapter light reflection & refraction.

2.Do 10 numericals on mirror & lens formula

( each) from any refresher.

3.On chart paper draw 6 positions of images by

concave mirror & convex lens.

Chemistry:-

1. Write definitions of all the terms from lesson 1

and 2.

2. Balance at least 20 chemical equations.

3. Learn and write polyatomic radicals with their

charges and valencies.

4. Make and write at least 30 chemical formulae

using the different elements and polyatomic
radicals.
5. Make the Periodic Table using different colours
to differentiate between the different elements,
along with their Atomic numbers, atomic masses,
names of elements.

Bio:-
1. Prepare mindmaps on A4 size sheets of life
processes:
a. Nutrition
b. Respiration
c. Transportation
d. Excretion

2. Complete your practical notebook with 2

practicals of life processes as discussed by your
subject teacher.

3. Revise the chapter “Life Processes” with

practice of all its diagrams..

TOPIC:- CONSUMER AWARENESS
' Consumer Awareness is the need of the hour.'
Guidelines:-
1 It should be:-
● a neatly done handwritten project.
● a reflection of your research work and creativity.
2 It should have:-
● 15 pages in all- 10 pages of contents and 5 other
pages.( Instructions about all this will
be given in the class room.)
● File cover made up of handmade paper.( No
plastic cover will be accepted.)
● Proper pasting of pictures with captions,
drawings, tables, pie charts etc.
B. Do the practice maps given in the Map Skill book
pertaining to the Geography Chapters-1,2,3 and 4.
C. Write at least 10 MCQs in your fair notebooks
from each aspect of Social Science:-
Ch. 1 of History, Ch. 1 of Economics, Ch.1,2 and 3
of Geography, Ch. 1 and 2 of Political
Science.

● Create a document in 0pen0ffice writer and do
as directed below:
1. Prepare a template for the “Student’s Portfolio”.
2. Insert your picture in the right corner and your
School logo in the center of the document.

template.Change the formatting as you wish.

ASSIGNMENT 3:-
Create and customize table of content of your IT
book.
● Prepare a document with different headings and
apply a table of contents to it.

ASSIGNMENT 4:-
Prepare worksheet as given below and do as
directed:
1. Create a new file in spreadsheet software and
enter data for 5 students.
2. Add three worksheets in the file and modify the
data for all 3 sheets.
3. Rename all worksheets like sheet1 - PT1, sheet2
- PT2 and sheet3 -PT3.
4. Now add one more worksheet at the end and
rename as consolidated sheet.
5. Now type the Roll no,marks of 5 students, use
sum function to add data for PT1, PT2 and PT3 in
respective cells using consolidation.
