established in March 2024.

construction chemicals and engineering solutions to the construction fraternity of Sri Lanka.

It is with great pride and a sense of accomplishment that I welcome you to our company's
profile. As the Founder and Chairman of TWINBUILD Engineering, I am honored to lead a
team of dedicated professionals who are committed to delivering excellence in every project we
undertake.
Since our inception, we have been hoping to emerge from a modest construction firm into a
leading industry player, renowned for our innovation, quality, and reliability. Our journey has
just begun but our quest has been marked by relentless pursuit for perfection and a steadfast
commitment to meeting and exceeding the expectations of our clients.
My entrepreneurial journey began in early 1996 as a Venture Capitalist and slowly diversified
into Imports, Exports, Real Estate and Real Development analyzing the prospective future of the
particular line of trade in Sri Lanka amidst the constantly fluctuating market trends.
An icebreaker fact about me is that I'm passionate about wildlife and a collector of exotic pets as
a hobbyist. My entrepreneurial aspirations also lead me to trail out as one of the leading
aquaculturists in Sri Lanka!

A Biotechnologist by profession and involved in the research of Biologically Enhanced
Absorption of Synthetic dyes vastly polluting our ecosystem, it was a great heave to navigate
from science to commerce. It was quite the challenge to assist in the organic upscale and
sustainable progress of the company alongside opting for an environment-conscious
development.

1. Waterproofing: Waterproofing is the process of making a structure or object resistant to
the ingress of water under specified conditions. It is essential in construction to protect buildings
and structures from water damage, which can cause structural deterioration, mold growth, and
other issues. Waterproofing can be applied to various surfaces such as roofs, basements,
foundations, and even swimming pools. There are different methods and materials for
waterproofing, including liquid membranes, sheet membranes, cementitious coatings, and
bituminous coatings, among others.
2. Chemical Anchoring: Chemical anchoring is a method used to securely attach objects to a
substrate, typically concrete or masonry, using specialized adhesives or resins. It involves
drilling holes into the substrate, injecting the adhesive or resin, and then inserting a threaded rod,
rebar, or other anchor into the hole. Once cured, the adhesive forms a strong bond between the
anchor and the substrate, providing stability and load-bearing capacity. Chemical anchoring is
commonly used in construction for installing structural elements such as steel columns, beams,
and equipment mounts, as well as for securing fixtures like handrails and guardrails.
3. Geosynthetics: Geosynthetics are synthetic materials used in civil engineering and
environmental applications to improve the mechanical properties of soil, control erosion, and
provide separation, filtration, drainage, and reinforcement functions. They are typically made
from polymers such as polypropylene, polyester, or polyethylene and come in various forms,
including geotextiles, geomembranes, geogrids, and geocells. Geosynthetics are used in a wide
range of infrastructure projects, including roads, railways, landfills, retaining walls, dams, and
coastal protection structures. They offer cost-effective solutions for enhancing the performance
and longevity of civil engineering works while minimizing environmental impact.
4. Gabion : Gabions are wire mesh containers filled with stones, rocks, or other materials,
commonly used in civil engineering, landscaping, and environmental projects. They serve
various purposes, including erosion control, retaining walls, riverbank protection, slope
stabilization, and landscaping features.
The wire mesh used for gabions is typically made of galvanized steel or PVC-coated steel,
providing strength and durability to withstand environmental factors such as water, wind, and
soil pressure.

5. Admixtures : Admixtures are substances added to concrete, mortar, or grout during mixing to
modify its properties or improve its performance. These substances are typically introduced in
small quantities and can alter the workability, strength, durability, setting time, and other
characteristics of the concrete mixture.

6. Concrete Repair and Strengthening :Concrete repair and strengthening are essential processes
for maintaining the structural integrity and prolonging the service life of concrete structures.
Over time, concrete can deteriorate due to various factors such as environmental exposure,
chemical attack, freeze-thaw cycles, structural overloading, or poor construction practices.
Repair and strengthening techniques are employed to address defects, cracks, spalling, or
deterioration in concrete elements, ensuring their safety, functionality, and durability.

7. Structural Grouts : Structural grouts are specialized construction materials used to fill voids,
gaps, or spaces within concrete structures and provide structural support, stability, and
reinforcement. They are commonly employed in various civil engineering, construction, and
infrastructure projects to enhance the performance, durability, and safety of concrete elements.
Structural grouts are formulated to meet specific engineering requirements and can be
customized based on project needs and environmental conditions.

8. Road Marking : Road marking, also known as pavement marking or line striping, involves
applying visible markings on roads, highways, parking lots, and other paved surfaces to provide
guidance, regulate traffic flow, and enhance safety for motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists. These
markings are typically painted or applied using thermoplastic materials and serve various
purposes, including delineating lanes, indicating traffic regulations, warning of hazards, and
guiding drivers during day and night.

9. Anchoring Chemicals: An anchoring chemical, also known as an anchor adhesive or

anchoring epoxy, is a specialized construction material used to securely fasten or anchor
structural elements to concrete, masonry, or other substrates. These chemicals are formulated to
provide strong, durable, and reliable bonding between the anchor and the base material, ensuring
stability and load-bearing capacity in various construction applications.

10. FRP Composite Strengthening System : A Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite
strengthening system is a structural retrofitting technique used to enhance the load-bearing
capacity, durability, and performance of concrete, masonry, steel, or timber structures. This
system involves the application of high-strength composite materials, typically comprised of
fibers (such as carbon, glass, or aramid) embedded in a resin matrix, to strengthen and reinforce
existing structural elements.
