WHEREAS, it appears to the undersigned that in connection with the General Elections to the Lok
Sabha, 2024 in the KOLKATA-NORTH District on 01 Jun 2024 (date of poll) in Phase-7, the vehicle/
vessel or animal mentioned in the Schedule “A” below is needed or is likely to be needed for the purpose of
transport of Security personnel / Officers on Election duty/ Polling personnel / materials or any management
related to the said election, in exercise of the power conferred under section 160 of the Representation of
the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) read with Notification No/Press Note ECI/PN/23/2024 dated 16th march
2024 issued by the Election Commission of India & the undersigned hereby requisitions the said vehicle and
directs that the possession of and control over the said vehicle, be made over to the Officer on the date and
place at the time as detailed in the Schedule “B”

The vehicle must be in clean and ready for duty forthwith. The hire charge, deducting the value of tank
balance of the fuel issued through credit slips, would be paid to the owner thereof as compensation, in
pursuance of section 160(2) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, in the amount, which shall be
determined on the basis indicated in the said notification. In case of Mini Truck /Truck or goods vehicle the
vehicles must be properly covered by Tarpaulin during reporting
