INTRODUCTION

The teachers, being the central figure in education,

must be competent and knowledgeable in order to impart the

knowledge they could give to their students. Good teaching is

a personal manner. Effective teaching is concerned with the

student as a person and with his general development.

Teachers must recognize the diversity and complexity in the

classroom, be it the ethnicity, gender, culture, language

abilities and interests.

The teacher must recognize differences among his/her

students and adjust instructions that best fit on his/her

learners. It is always a fact that they are the second parent in

school, they play varied and vital roles in the classroom.

Teachers are considered the light in the classroom. We are

entrusted with so many obligations that range from the simple

to most complex and challenging jobs. Every day we encounter

them as part of the passion and work that we are in.

It is very necessary that we need to understand the

need to be motivated in doing our work well, so as to have

motivated learners in the classroom. When students are

motivated, then learning will easily take place. However,

motivating students to learn demand a very challenging role

on the part of the teacher. It requires a variety of teaching

styles just to capture students' interests. We need to apply

effort to lead children or students into a life that is full,

stimulating and satisfying. Some students seem naturally

enthusiastic about learning, but many need or expect their

instructors or teachers to inspire, challenge or stimulate them.

Effective learning in the classroom depends on the

teacher's ability to maintain the interest that brought students

to the course in the first place (Erickson, 1978). Not all

students are motivated by the same values, needs, desires and

wants. Some students are motivated by the approval of others

or by overcoming challenges.

As what has been said, what happens in the classroom

depends on the teacher's ability to maintain students'

interests. Thus, teachers play a vital role in effecting classroom

changes. As stressed in the Educator's Diary published in 1995,

"Teaching takes place only when learning does." Considering

one's teaching style and how it affects students' motivation

greatly concerned the researcher. Although we might think of

other factors, however, emphasis has been geared towards

the effect of teacher's teaching style and student motivation.

The researcher’s main target in this research is Teacher’s

Teaching Style as a motivation for the student performance in

MAPEH.

The study was conducted to Grade Four pupils’ section

Gold in Bagong Silang Elementary School. The respondents

consisted of thirty – three pupils from the said section.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Specifically, the key research questions that were

explored in this study are:

1. What are the effects of High Technological Online

Teaching Style?

2. What are the significant improvements on the

respondent’s performance with regard to the results of the

experiment?
SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

This research covered the use Teacher’s Teaching

Styles in experimentation among the thirty – three pupils, in

Grade Four section Gold of Bagong Silang Elementary School

SY. 2022 -2023.

METHOD

The researcher group was composed of forty – two pupil and

the teacher will use High Technological Online Teaching Style.

High Technological Online Teaching Style is a teaching

style using an instructional material that include recorded

music and videos, Power Point presentation and material from

online sources or the internet.

To obtain results, the researcher recorded all the data

needed and gathered and computed through statistical

analysis. Computation of the mean and weighted average

were obtained also for more comprehensive interpretation

and analysis of data.

The research was conducted during the first and

second quarter of school year 2022-2023 (September to

November).

FINDINGS

The main purpose of this action research is to find out

if the High Technological Online Teaching Style is effective in

motivating the students.

The findings of the study were summarized, gathered,

analyzed, and presented below.

Table 1 presents the scores of the group.

On the three-month period of the research, the

researcher found out that the group (High Technological

Online Teaching Style) performed better in terms of their

computed. There was an increase in the computed mean. The

group obtained 13. The study then showed that the use of the

High Technological Online Teaching Style is an effective tool to

be used to obtain good results in experimentation.

Table 2 shows the comparative scores obtained by the Group

During the first month of using each Teaching Styles, the

Group scored a total of 1235. On the second month, the group

scored a total of 1354. And on the last month of teaching Style,

the Group obtained 1249.

It is evident that the group of High Technological

Online Teaching Style) scored higher. The table shows that the

use of the High Technological Online Teaching Style help

students to come up with a very good result in the student

performance in classroom.

CONCLUSION

Based from the obtained data and result of this

research as shown by the computed mean of the respondents,

the use of the Teacher’s Teaching Style affects the result of the

performance of the pupils.

RECOMMENDATIONS

The result of this study in using Teacher’s Teaching

Style as a motivation is the best technique in instructions. It is

because the teacher as the classroom manager who will

decide what is best and suited for his/her pupils. Here some
effects on using High Technological Online Teaching Style as a

Teaching Style on student performance and teacher’s skills:

1. Improves engagement

When technology is integrated into lessons, students

are expected to be more interested in the subjects they

are studying. Technology provides different

opportunities to make learning more fun and enjoyable

in terms of teaching same things in new ways. For

instance, delivering teaching through gamification,

taking students on virtual field trips and using other

online learning resources. What is more, technology

can encourage a more active participation in the

learning process which can be hard to achieve through

a traditional lecture environment.

2. Improves Knowledge Retention

Students who are engaged and interested in things

they are studying, are expected to have a better

knowledge retention. As mentioned before, technology

can help to encourage active participation in the

classroom which also is a very important factor for

increased knowledge retention. Different forms of

technology can be used to experiment with and decide

what works best for students in terms of retaining their

knowledge.

3. Encourages Individual Learning

No one learns in the same way because of different

learning styles and different abilities. Technology

provides great opportunities for making learning more

effective for everyone with different needs. For

example, students can learn at their own speed, review

difficult concepts or skip ahead if they need to. What is

more, technology can provide more opportunities for

struggling or disabled students. Access to the Internet

gives students access to a broad range of resources to

conduct research in different ways, which in turn can

increase the engagement.

4. Encourages Collaboration

Students can practice collaboration skills by getting

involved in different online activities. For instance,

working on different projects by collaborating with

others on forums or by sharing documents on their

virtual learning environments. Technology can

encourage collaboration with students in the same

classroom, same school and even with other

classrooms around the world.

5. Students can learn useful life skills through technology

By using technology in the classroom, both teachers

and students can develop skills essential for the 21st

century. Students can gain the skills they will need to

be successful in the future. Modern learning is about

collaborating with others, solving complex problems,

critical thinking, developing different forms of

communication and leadership skills, and improving

motivation and productivity. What is more, technology

can help develop many practical skills, including

creating presentations, learning to differentiate reliable

from unreliable sources on the Internet, maintaining

proper online etiquette, and writing emails. These are

very important skills that can be developed in the

classroom.

6. Benefits for teachers

With countless online resources, technology can help

improve teaching. Teachers can use different apps or

trusted online resources to enhance the ways of

teaching and to keep students more engaged. Virtual

lesson, grading software and online assessments can

help teachers save a lot time. This valuable time can be

used for working with students who are struggling.

What is more, having virtual learning environments in

schools enhances collaboration and knowledge sharing

between teachers.
