Over two decades ago, New York Institute of Technology headed west and

Tech-Vancouver offers 5 different Master degrees including Master of Business

Cybersecurity. As of December 2022, New York Tech-Vancouver closed its
downtown location and moved into an expanded and redesigned space at
Broadway Tech Centre. The new campus totals nearly 40,000 square feet across
three different buildings, which are connected by covered walkways. During
planning, architects closely considered how students, faculty, and staff will use
the space.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN
CYBERSECURITY
(M.S.- CYBERSECURITY)
The Master of Science in Cybersecurity (M.S.-Cybersecurity)
program is internationally acclaimed for its multi-faceted
education and student success rate. Students will learn to
critically evaluate various technical and architectural
solutions in order to limit risk and mitigate the effects of
hostile action, while studying algorithm concepts, risk
management, and attack recovery. The program covers the
design, implementation, and maintenance of software tools
to support network security across multiple operating
systems.

M.S.-Cybersecurity echoes the non-thesis curriculum option
already offered in New York. The program is ideally suited for

The Edward Guiliano Global Fellowship Program provides
students with the opportunity to broaden their perspectives by
engaging with the world beyond New York Tech and their local
communities. Students may utilize this award for creative
expression, research, and cultural activities for personal
development outside of their comfort zone through travel, as
projects must take place at least 200 miles from the student's
home or the New York Tech campus. The goal of the Edward
Guiliano Global Fellowship program is to give New York Tech
students the opportunity to have a truly enriching,
transformational educational experience.

EXPERIENTIAL
The Experiential Learning office supports students' journey to learning by
doing. Through hands-on learning experiences, you will engage in

professional skills, apply your knowledge, gain Canadian work experience, LEARNING
and expand your networking opportunities.
By participating in our programs—internships, co-ops, projects, or

Alumni Relations
New York Tech-Vancouver alumni make a positive
impact on their communities and society as a whole.
That’s because a New York Tech education results

Meng Yuan, Energy Management Alumnus
I'm a graduate student in Energy Management at
New York Tech-Vancouver. I have been very lucky
to have an outstanding support system offered by
the school and professors, which enables me to

Another significant benefit of studying at New
York Tech-Vancouver was the on-campus, part-
time job opportunities available to students. I was
fortunate enough to secure a position in the
Registrar's Office, which not only provided me
with invaluable local work experience but also
facilitated my transition to a new country. I am
confident that this experience will give me a
competitive edge in the job market and help me
achieve my career goals after graduation. New
York Tech has played a vital role in my academic
and personal growth, and I am excited to see what
the future holds.
2024-2025
Ankan Garg, Cybersecurity Alumnus
Having worked in IT for 8+ years and witnessing the
rapid shift towards digitization across industry
verticals, in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity has
become a mandatory aspect for the survival of any
tech sector. With the thrust to keep myself up-to-
date and gain global perspective, I decided to take
up a master’s level study in Cybersecurity, and
there's no better location than the Cybersecurity
program at New York Tech-Vancouver in beautiful
British Columbia.
I have gained first-hand Canadian work experience
with my first full-time internship as a Cybersecurity
Analyst,
I was also able to learn from the best professors and
mentors, as well as collaborating with a diverse set
of cohorts,
New York Tech has exceeded all of my expectations.
This is a place where your failures are appreciated
and your success is celebrated.

Elisa Kimus, M.B.A. Alumnus
I have a Bachelor's degree and a Master's in
Science Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from
the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
I've always been interested in an MBA program
since my graduation. When I was planning to come
to Canada with my family in 2018, I came across
New York Tech, which could offer me an
international MBA program that would also allow
me to take courses at any of New York Tech's other
campuses. This opportunity was decisive to
choose New York Tech-Vancouver. I didn't find any
university in Canada with the same offering.
I've chosen to spend one semester in New York City,
having classes at the New York Tech
headquarter.
It was an incredible experience, and I'm confident
that I've made the best choice by choosing New
York Tech. I finished my MBA program this August,
and I was pleased to get a job offer before my
graduation date. Today, I'm an Enterprise Resource
Planning Administrator at Paladin Technologies.
2024-2025
Maryam Karandish, Cybersecurity Alumnus
I found Cybersecurity very interesting when I
completed my first graduate course (OS security)
at the New York Institute of Technology. I
decided to pursue my master’s degree in

Cybersecurity while I was pursuing my Bachelor's
in Software Engineering. I benefited a lot from

my master's program and had the chance to get
to know Cryptography, Intrusion Detection,
attacks, and counterattacks. I learned how to
apply those learnings and techniques to various
aspects of software development. Our faculty
encouraged us to conduct an independent
project or apply for an internship in Cybersecurity
related field.
The faculty are friendly and knowledgeable when
students have questions or need suggestions for
their future careers. We have a good alumni
network where people can post learning
opportunities, jobs, and questions. Last but not
least, I had a very good learning community while
I was pursuing my degree. I learned a lot from my
professors and courses, which boosted my
technical skills for job hunting after my
graduation.
