AUDI: ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SHOWROOM CONCEPT
DIGITAL MEDIA: PRESENTATION ELEMENT 2.0
In order to carry out the assembly of the Presentation Element, two people are required!
The assembly work must be carried out according to the assembly instructions!
Any assembly and disassembly work may only be carried out by expert personnel using
suitable tools!
Suitable, standard trade tools, fastening materials and the necessary aids are required
for assembly (and disassembly) and must be provided by the fitter themselves for exe-
cution. We recommend that you read through the instructions and prepare accordingly
before starting the work!
Do not drink alcohol and do not take any drugs prior to and during the assembly (use,
maintenance)!
Prior to assembly, the elements consisting of wooden material must acclimatise for at least
48 hours in an indoor climate with the following ambient data:
Free-standing elements must not be moved, since otherwise the floor and/or the height-
adjustable feet could be damaged.
Changing the position of the fitted elements is not possible in consequence of electrification!
For your own safety we recommend wearing safety shoes at all times during the assembly.
For your own safety, we recommend wearing work clothes when unpacking the elements.

TIP
C
I
In order to avoid any dirt or scratches, it is strongly recommended to wear
cotton gloves when carrying out the assembly work.
Please note that any work on the electrical components may only be carried out by an
authorised electrician qualified for the tasks according to the applicable federal state laws
and standards. In Germany, this applies to electricians according to DIN VDE or to
electricians authorised for defined tasks.
The qualified and trained electrician must check if the installation on site is sufficient for
the required power and if the components supplied are designed for the supply frequency
on site and the supply voltage on site.

1. Move the pallet with the packaged Presentation Element to the location in the showroom.
CAUTION!
RISK OF INJURY!
Four persons are required to set up the display element!
Weight 210 kg!
When lifting the Presentation Element from the pallet, make sure that the Presenta-
tion Element is always moved in a vertical position and in balance.
If the horizontal load is too high, there is a risk of tipping!
When lifting the Presentation Element down from the one-way pallet, make sure not to
crush your hands between the element, the pallet and the floor of the showroom.
3. Lift the display element from the pallet (four persons required, weight 210 kg!) and place the element in
its final location according to the showroom planning or the retailer’s specifications.

4. The electrification kit and the element holder frames are already pre-assembled in the display element
2.0 as basic equipment.
For assembly in EU countries or countries with mains voltage 220 V, continue with step 5.

Assembly: Presentation Element 2.0 in countries with mains voltage deviating from the EU, RoW
For markets in countries with mains voltage deviating from the EU, the electrification kit must be swapped
out. To do this, proceed as follows:
TIP: Attach an aid for catching the cable (e.g. wire or cord, L = approx. 1.5 m) to the cable end without
the plug. Pull the cable upwards through the cable feed in the frame. Once you have caught the aid,
detach it from the old cable and fasten it to the cable of the new socket strip. Remove the old 6 x socket
strip from the insert for technology.
B Use a country-specific version of the 6 x socket strip in the same place, connect the plugless cable with
the catching aid and use it to pull the cable back through the cable feed to the outlet below the base
panel.
Attach the plug properly. Ensure that tension is relieved, cables must not be pinched!
CAUTION!
The country-specific plug must only be connected to the primary line by an authorised, quali-
fied and trained electrician.

5. The connection cable with plug for the socket strip is located under the base panel on one of the two
short sides. Connect the connection cable plug to the connection option at the site. Ideally, there should
be a floor tank or a socket in direct proximity.
However, the retailer must guarantee a connection option in all circumstances. Avoid leaving lengths of
cable uncovered, or keep this to an absolute minimum, and seal these cables to secure them.

Chromebox examples
7. The Chromebox (= feed unit for the monitor) and an optional sound box are provided by the retailer.
Ask your retailer about these components and install them during a later work stage.

Distance
width
1. Before mounting the 65" or 75" monitor, check the distance of the rear screw threads of the device. The
pre-set distance width of 400 mm can be changed to 600 mm by moving both holder frames.
For the 200 mm raster, the supports must be moved inwards. In the case of deviating distances, the sup-
ports most be moved individually. Ensure that these are arranged symmetrically so that the monitor is later
mounted in the centre of the frame.

2. Compare the distance height of the mounting threads on the monitor with the mounting slits on both
holder frames, and adjust the holder frames if necessary so that the monitor is later mounted in the
frame with the same distance on all sides. The holder frames can also be mounted offset to the sup
ports. Screw the four M8 x 25 or M8 x 30 flat-head screws (small parts bag 475256) depending on the
structural depth of the device in the screw threads of the monitor until the screw heads still reach into
the holder frame.
The extension cable is intended for connecting the Chromebox. Stow the extension cable away in the
insert for technology.

Movement direction
3. Mount the monitor on the front side via the four slits of the holder frame and move the device down
wards, to the side and downwards once again. Ensure that the screw threads click into the very bottom
slit to guarantee the removal safety device. A third person can assist if desired.

Adjustment
4. Check the distance from the monitor to the frame at the top. The distance must be the same as the
distance from the left and right. For readjustment, the holder frames must be moved upwards using the
serrated raster.
5. If the alignment suits, remove the monitor again and carefully place it to the side. The settings on the
monitor and holder frames must not be changed any more.
