Assembly: Presentation Element 2.0 in countries with mains voltage deviating from the EU, RoW

For markets in countries with mains voltage deviating from the EU, the electrification kit must be swapped
out. To do this, proceed as follows:

socket strip Cable feed-through

A Disconnect the plug from the socket strip cable.

TIP: Attach an aid for catching the cable (e.g. wire or cord, L = approx. 1.5 m) to the cable end without
the plug. Pull the cable upwards through the cable feed in the frame. Once you have caught the aid,
detach it from the old cable and fasten it to the cable of the new socket strip. Remove the old 6 x socket
strip from the insert for technology.

B Use a country-specific version of the 6 x socket strip in the same place, connect the plugless cable with
the catching aid and use it to pull the cable back through the cable feed to the outlet below the base
panel.
Attach the plug properly. Ensure that tension is relieved, cables must not be pinched!

CAUTION!

The country-specific plug must only be connected to the primary line by an authorised, quali-
fied and trained electrician.

Connection cable

5. The connection cable with plug for the socket strip is located under the base panel on one of the two
short sides. Connect the connection cable plug to the connection option at the site. Ideally, there should
be a floor tank or a socket in direct proximity.
However, the retailer must guarantee a connection option in all circumstances. Avoid leaving lengths of
cable uncovered, or keep this to an absolute minimum, and seal these cables to secure them.

6. Using a spirit level, align the frame structure

vertically and horizontally, and tighten the four
adjustable feet with the size 5 Allen key provided.

The adjustable feet must not protrude upwards.

Chromebox examples

7. The Chromebox (= feed unit for the monitor) and an optional sound box are provided by the retailer.
Ask your retailer about these components and install them during a later work stage.

Distance
width

1. Before mounting the 65" or 75" monitor, check the distance of the rear screw threads of the device. The
pre-set distance width of 400 mm can be changed to 600 mm by moving both holder frames.
For the 200 mm raster, the supports must be moved inwards. In the case of deviating distances, the sup-
ports most be moved individually. Ensure that these are arranged symmetrically so that the monitor is later
mounted in the centre of the frame.

2. Compare the distance height of the mounting threads on the monitor with the mounting slits on both
holder frames, and adjust the holder frames if necessary so that the monitor is later mounted in the
frame with the same distance on all sides. The holder frames can also be mounted offset to the sup
ports. Screw the four M8 x 25 or M8 x 30 flat-head screws (small parts bag 475256) depending on the
structural depth of the device in the screw threads of the monitor until the screw heads still reach into
the holder frame.

The extension cable is intended for connecting the Chromebox. Stow the extension cable away in the
insert for technology.

Movement direction

3. Mount the monitor on the front side via the four slits of the holder frame and move the device down
wards, to the side and downwards once again. Ensure that the screw threads click into the very bottom
slit to guarantee the removal safety device. A third person can assist if desired.

Adjustment

4. Check the distance from the monitor to the frame at the top. The distance must be the same as the
distance from the left and right. For readjustment, the holder frames must be moved upwards using the
serrated raster.

5. If the alignment suits, remove the monitor again and carefully place it to the side. The settings on the
monitor and holder frames must not be changed any more.

background for the front monitor.
Here, the thinner, sound-permeable fabric is used.
Press the continuously sewn silicone piping of the
graphic banner into the groove of the frame panel,
starting at a top corner.

7. Before closing the “sound” textile graphic banner

completely all the way around, use a cutter to make
a cross-shaped cut in the banner in the area of the
monitor power supply. The cut length should only be
long enough to allow the plug to be guided through.

8. Guide the plug of the monitor cable through the cut opening from behind and completely close the
graphic banner.

9. In the four mounting positions, cut a Z-shaped slit to mount the monitor onto the graphic banner.

same and that the device is securely positioned.

12

12. On the side of the frame which is still open, insert

the power connection cable of the monitor into
the socket strip.

Connect the Chromebox and an optional sound box

with the monitor and socket strip as well.

Stow away and secure all protruding cable lengths

in the frame in such a way that they will not stand
out through the graphic banner later.

13

13. Mount the black “block-out” textile graphic banner

so that the rear is closed.

Here, the opaque fabric with the lettering

“Vorsprung durch Technik” is used.

Care and Cleaning

Powder-coated surfaces:
It is necessary to clean the powder-coated elements thoroughly
• to maintain the decorative appearance of the elements and
• to reduce the corrosion impact.
For the regular cleaning and care of powder-coated surfaces, you must use lukewarm water, if necessary with ordinary,
mild cleaning agents, or plastic cleaners. Use soft, damp, non-abrasive cloths, rags or industrial cotton to clean, wipe –
do not scrub! – and rub dry the surfaces.
Greasy, oily or sooty substances and residue from adhesives, silicone rubber or adhesive tape can be removed using
white spirit, spirits or isopropyl alcohol (IPA) free from aromatic compounds.
Severe contamination such as tyre wear or tar stains can be removed using rim cleaner or, for stubborn stains, using
acetone. Here, you must ensure that the cleaning agent is not rubbed in too strongly or for too long, to prevent the
powder coating from coming loose.
The cleaning agents must be removed with clean, cold water immediately after each cleaning process.

Under no circumstances, use:

• scratching, abrasive cleaning agents (e.g. scouring agents)
• strongly acidic or alkaline cleaning and wetting agents
• cleaning agents the composition of which is unknown
• metallic, scratching objects (e.g. scrapers or steel wool)
• steam jet cleaners
Plastic and rim cleaners as well as white spirit, spirits and isopropyl alcohol may be exposed to a maximum of 25 °C.
During cleaning, the surface temperature of the elements must also not exceed 25 °C.
The maximum reaction time of these cleaning agents must not exceed one hour; after at least 24 hours have elapsed,
the whole cleaning process may be repeated if necessary.
