Rehabilitation Policy
Management of [organization name] is committed to the continual improvement of the Health &
Wellbeing of our staff by:

 Preventing injury and illness through providing a safe and healthy working environment
 Ensuring that the occupational rehabilitation process is commenced as soon as possible after
an injury in a manner consistent with medical judgement
 Ensuring that a return to work as soon as possible by an injured employee is a normal
practice and expectation
 Providing suitable duties / employment for an injured employee as an integral part of the
rehabilitation process
 Consulting with our employees and any industrial union representing them to ensure that
our rehabilitation programmes operate effectively and
 Ensuring participation in a rehabilitation program will not, in itself, jeopardize an employee’s
job security.

The commitment and adherence to this policy is the responsibility of all Management, employees
and subcontractors.

This policy is regularly reviewed and communicated to all. The policy will also be made available to
interested parties and others who may require it upon request.
