Safety Precautions
Before starting any work on the equipment, it is compulsory to read the Safety
Precautions chapter in any of the existing documents of the equipment.
Safety Messages Description

A safety message is always accompanied by a safety alert symbol and a signal
word.
The safety alert symbol is used to alert about potential personal injury hazards. To
avoid hazards, obey all safety messages that follow this symbol.
The following safety alert symbols and signal words are used in this document to
inform the user of hazards.
Danger indicates an imminently

Waste Management
Separate, recycle, or dispose of all material and components in a safe, and
environmentally responsible way, or according to national legislation or local
regulations. If there is any uncertainty regarding what material a component is made
of, contact the Tetra Pak Group. Use a certified (ISO 14001 or similar) scrapping or
waste handling company.
For further details of disposal of chemicals, see the Hazardous Substances section
in the Safety Precautions chapter.
Fluids and Chemical Products

Drain all liquids into collecting vessels. Do not mix different liquids into the same
vessel. Follow the instructions in the Safety Data Sheets for the disposal of the
different fluids and dispose of according to national legislation or local regulations.
Hydrogen Peroxide
Follow the instructions in the Safety Data Sheets, national legislations, and local
regulations for the disposal. Flush the hydrogen peroxide system with distilled water
to dilute any remaining hydrogen peroxide to a safe level.

chapter.
Cooling Media
Equipment containing any kind of cooling media must be dismantled, but only as far
as can be considered safe without any cooling media leakage. Follow national
legislation or local regulations. Send the cooling media to an authorized company
for proper handling.

Separation of Materials and Components

Separate the following materials. Recycle or dispose of the materials as
appropriate. Follow specific recycling instructions, if such are given by the
component supplier.

Prior to installation of the rebuilding kit, carefully read the instructions in this
document concerning the activity.
This document describes how to install the rebuilding kit.

Any item that is named specifically in this document is to be considered a
designated item for the equipment. Designated items are verified by the
Tetra Pak Group for use with the equipment.
The Tetra Pak Group will not be held responsible for any damage, loss, injury, or
death that is caused by not following the instructions in this document. Also, the
Tetra Pak Group will not be held responsible for the above due to failure to use
designated items that are specified in this document.
If a Declaration of Incorporation is delivered with the rebuilding kit, the Rebuilding
Manual must be archived as part of the Technical File for the equipment.

About the Rebuilding Kit

Intended Use of the Rebuilding Kit
The intended use of this Tetra Pak® rebuilding kit is to introduce new IP69K
photocells. New photocells and cable connectors are water resistant.
All other use is prohibited. The Tetra Pak Group will not be held responsible for injury
or damage if the rebuilding kit is used for any other purpose.

2.3 Preparations before Start

Before starting any rebuilding work on the equipment:
• Make sure that the equipment is available and that the rebuilding work can be
completed without interruption.
• Establish an adequate safe working area around the equipment. Make sure that
no items stand in the installation area.
• Make sure that the rebuilding kit is valid for the specific equipment.
• Make sure that all the parts listed in the SPC included with this rebuilding kit have
been delivered.
If any part of the rebuilding kit is not present or wrong, open a Technical Issue in the
QuTI-P tool. Create a Service Notification in SAP ECC directly from the Technical
Issue.
Use the following parameters in the QuTI-P tool:

• Failure mode: Supply
• Failure type: Code 401 for missing part (perished or lost) or code 402 for wrong
part (incorrect or not according to order)
If any damage to the crate contents has occurred during transportation, create a
discrepancy notification in SAP ECC using the transaction code IW51. Take
photographs of the damage and enclose the photographs with the discrepancy
notification.

Technical Issue and connect it to the relevant Consolidated Issue number
5000028565.

3.2 Updating the User Manuals 3 Rebuilding Instructions
3.2 Updating the User Manuals

When you install a rebuilding kit, the existing user manuals for the machine usually
need to be updated with the new instructions related to the rebuilding kit. Follow the
steps below:
a) Replace the user manuals with the latest released version of the user
manual which includes the new instructions related to this rebuilding kit. If the
pages affected by the rebuilding kit are not available in the latest released
version of the user manual, follow item b). If applicable, store the kit SPC with
the existing user manuals.
b) Find the updated user manual pages in the UP. In each affected user manual,
replace the obsolete user manual pages with the new ones from the UP.
c) For user manual pages that contain both valid and obsolete information, cross
out the obsolete information with a red permanent pen and mark it with "No
longer valid".
d) If translated update pages are required for a translated user manual, search for
the translated Update Pages in the PIV Technical Publication database.
e) If a Mechanical Rebuilding Kit requires a Software Upgrade Kit, which is
installed simultaneously or may have been installed previously, and in case the
UP of both RKs contain the same procedures, then those included in the
.
Software Upgrade Kit UP shall be used.
3.2.1 Recycling of Replaced Manuals

Recycle any user manuals that have been replaced according to local practices and
regulations.
3.2.2 Update Log Pages

The Update Log pages are located in the first part of the user manual. If a user
manual does not include an Update Log page, use the update log page located in
the UP manual delivered with this rebuilding kit.
The Update Log pages must be filled in for each of the affected user manuals. Use a
black permanent pen to write the following information on the Update Log page:
• the date that the rebuilding kit was installed
• the name of the rebuilding kit
• the document number of the added pages
• the page numbers of the pages that have been removed from the user manual
• the signature of the technician responsible for the installation

c) Loosen the screw (2) and remove the support bracket (3) with the photocell (1).

a) Fit the cable (1) to the hose (2) and to the cable gland (3).
b) Install the photocell (4) to the holder (5) and tighten the two screws (6) and the
cable gland (3).
c) Install the holder (5) to the bracket (7) and tighten the two screws (8).
d) Install the bracket (7) at the mark.
e) Thread the cables to the connection box T50X1000 and electrically connect the
photocell (4), according to 3.5-1 Schemes and Diagrams - Update.
f) Repeat for the other photocell (9).
