Every year about 20,000 crore worth of scholarships are distributed in India with more than
10 lakh students applying every year for different scholarships. More than 30 lakh student
apply for student loans every year. The market is worth more than 10 billion dollars and if
we can even occupy 1% of the market, our company will be worth more than 100 million
dollars.
Business model-
ii) our main revenue source is student loans. If a student doesn’t get a scholarship, then our
platform will match him with different firms and banks(we will act as an agent between the
student and firm)and he can browse through different offers and select a particular
loan(discussing the terms). Once the student gets a loan, then we will be charging the firm a
particular commission at a rate of 2% of the loan.
Our team
Our total expenses account to about 7-8 lakhs in the starting years and increases due to the
costs required for setting up of different teams as well as improving the tech over a period
of time. Our major expenses also include the cost of advertising-since it is a student based
platform we will be mainly using Instagram and linkedin for marketing purposes. We will be
having a team which will be completely looking towards setting up partnerships with
different banks and firms.

Expected turnover-
We will be having a revenue of approximately 1 crore per month by the end of this year and
for 6 months we will be having a turnover of 3 crores 32 lakhs approx. Our profit will
account to 2 crore 59 lakhs. Though our expenses would be increasing, once we establish
different teams then this would be set as a fixed cost and wouldn’t increase much. We plan
to focus the most on marketing and partner with different creators so as to inform students
about this brilliant opportunity.
6 month revenue and expenses table-
we would be charging 100 rupees for every scholarship form and about 0.5-1%(0.75%
average) from the firms and banks which we will partner with for every student loan .
