EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The business is set to capture and accommodate the Zimbabwean market by providing
prime and affordable dressed chicken, with the option of internal organs offered to all
customers. To drive our sales up, we will actively market to town restaurants, offering them
weekly deliveries of the chickens at the prescribed affordable rates. To further entice our
customers, we accept all forms of payment i.e rtgs, ecocash, swipe and usd payments.

Sandra Chiororo will hold both managerial and executive marketing positions until we start
making enough money to employ more people.

INDUSTRY OVERVIEW

The industry is quite flooded, however, most producers are small scale farmers who are
seasonal competitors since they sometimes do not have the product ready for sale or
consumption, leaving only a few relevant competitors, such as Irvines and Surrey. For us to
level with our competitors, we will have 2 batches that are 2 weeks apart, at all times. We
will also use some of our proceeds to buy and secure land so we can expand and diversify
our portfolio, adding layers and later on pigs and goats to our range.

MARKET ANALYSIS AND COMPETITION

The target market is mostly restaurants, in and around town. There is a need for a chicken
producer who supplies the whole chicken with all its organs such as the liver and gizzards
without adding to the costing of initial price i.e if the chicken costs $5, the price shall remain
$5 even if the customer expresses interest in the organs.

SALES AND MARKETING PLAN

The business will offer competitive prices as well as more value for money by giving
customers desired chicken organs.

We will use social media marketing as well as in person customer scouting at vibrant and
viable restaurants.

Later on when the business is expanded, promotion agents and distributors will be
employed to market chickens on commission basis.

OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT PLAN

This is a partnership between Malcom Munyaradzi Chiororo and Sandra Chiororo, with each
partner owning 50% of the business.

Malcom Chiororo will be the Company President while Sandra Chiororo is the Vice President
of the company.

Malcom Chiororo will also hold the position of Chief Executive Officer while Sandra Chiororo
will act as the Managing Director.

Malcom Chiororo will fund the project, while Sandra Chiororo manages the project.

Both partners will do online marketing for the company, and Sandra Chiororo will take care
of the chickens until they are ready for sale and dress them for customers as well as do the
in person marketing.

The 2 partners will be the only employees until the company is able to employ more people.

The employees will be paid the same amount of money, starting with $50 pay in the first
month and pay will be revised up 100% in the second month. In the third month, pay will
again be revised up by 100%, with both employees getting $200. Further pay reviews will be
done after the partner consultation and company performance review.

OPERATING PLAN

The project will be done on a residential area.

Feeding equipment is needed for the project and electricity needs to be connected to the
chicken so that an infrared light can be installed to heat the chickens at night.

For a 100 chickens, at least 5 bags of feed are needed.

A car needs to be hired for the collection of feed.

A container is needed for the delivery of bulk chickens.
