1. Introducti
I ion

The GV75 is a compact

c watterproof GPSS tracker designed for a wide varietyy of vehicle trackingt
appllications. It has
h multiple I/O interfaces that can be e used for monitoring
m or controlling external
e
devices. Its builtt‐in GPS receeiver has supperior sensitivvity and fastt time to firsst fix. Its quaad band
GPRS/GSM subssystem suppo orts 850/900 0/1800/19000 MHz allow wing the GV7 75's location n to be
mon nitored in reaal time or periodically tracked by a baackend server and mobilee devices. Its built‐in
3‐axxis accelerometer allows motion
m detecction and exteends battery life through sophisticated d power
mannagement alggorithms. Syystem integraation is straightforward as completee documentaation is
provvided for thee full featureed @Track prrotocol. The @Track prottocol supportts a wide vaariety of
repoorts includingg emergencyy, geo‐fence boundary crossings,
c driving behavio or, low batte ery and
scheeduled GPS po osition.

3.2.. Switch on the Device

e
The method to power
p on GV V75:
‐ Use externaal power to tu
urn on.
Wheen the external power iss removed,GV75 will switch to intern nal backup b
battery and keep
k on
runn
ning. When internal backkup battery is exhausted,, GV75 will give
g a report and then turn off.
3.3.. Power Con
nnection
The red wireis power
p wire and
a the blacck wire is gro T input voltage range for this
ound wire. The
deviice is from 8V to 32V. Th
he device is designed
d to be installed in vehicles that operate on 12V
or 24V systems without
w the need for extternal transfo
ormers.

An alternative
a to
o connecting to the ignitioon switch is to find a non‐‐permanent p power sourcee that is
onlyy available whhen the vehiccle is runningg. For example, the powerr source for the FM radio..Ignition
signaal can be connfigured to sttart transmittting informattion to the baackend server when ignition is on
and enter power saving modee when ignitio on is off.

3.6.. Digital Output

The outputs are Open‐Drain typet with no internal pull‐‐up resistor which
w can alsso be used to control
between the output
a relay. It meanss that the useer has to connect a pull‐up resistor or a relay coil b
pin and any possitive voltagee (32V max) to generate e a correct output.
o Each output can drive a
conttinuous curreent of 0.15AA.
The green wire isi low side 15 50mA max, anda the blue wire is low sides 150mA max with lattch.

3.7.. UART Interface
Therre is one UART interfface on GV V75. UART is used forr configurattion and firrmware
dowwnloading, an nd communicating with external
e devices like CANN Bus modulee and RFID re eader.
Pleaase note the UART interffaces are all RS232 level. For RS232 leevel, valid signals are 3V
V to 15V
and ‐3V to ‐15V and the ‐3V V to +3V is no
ot a valid level. 3V to 15V
V correspond d with logic 0 of TTL
leveel, while ‐3V to
t ‐15V correespond with logic 1.
The examples off connection ns of UART with
