INDIE, THE CORGI

Meet Indie, the fairy steed.


You can see it? Legend has it
that the Welsh Corgi are the
enchanted dogs of the Fay. They
were used by elves and fairies as
a steeds in battles. At night, the
Welsh corgis would disappear
into the hills of the countryside
to play with the Fay people and
enchanted creatures…
LET´S MAKE SOME MAGIC!

A pair of black safety eyes 8mm

Fasten of leaving a long tail for sewing. Using a tapestry needle, weave the yarn
tail through the front loop of each remaining st and pull tight to close.

SNOUT:
Start in black yarn
Ch 7 (this is the foundation chain)
Rnd 1. Starting from second chain from hook, (1 sc, inc in next st) rep 3 times in
back loops of foundation chain. Turn and (1 sc, inc in next st) rep 3 times in front
loops of the foundation chain. [We are making an oval by crocheting around the
chain][18]
Rnd 2. (2 sc, inc in next st) rep 6 times [24]
Change to of-white yarn
Rnd 3-6. sc in all 24 sts [24]
Rnd 7. (3 sc, inc in next st) rep 6 times [30]
Fasten of leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuf firmly and sew it to the head.

TONGUE:
Using pink yarn
Ch 8 (this is the foundation chain)
Rnd 1. Starting from second chain from hook, dc in next 6 sts in back loops of
foundation chain. 3 dc in last chain. Turn and dc in next 6 sts in front loops of the
foundation chain. [15]
Fasten of leaving a long tail for sewing at the bottom of the snout.
EARS: (make 2)
In pink yarn
Row 1. 2 sc in a magic ring. [2] Gently adjust the magic ring [We will working in
rows for this part]
Row 2. ch 1, turn. 1 sc, inc in next st. [3]
Row 3. ch 1, turn. 2 sc, inc in next st. [4]
Row 4. ch 1, turn. 3 sc, inc in next st. [5]
Row 5. ch 1, turn. 4 sc, inc in next st. [6]
Row 6. ch 1, turn. 5 sc, inc in next st. [7]
Row 7. ch 1, turn. 6 sc, inc in next st. [8]

the front loop of each remaining st and pull tight to close.
BOOTY: (make 2)
In of-white yarn

Rnd 2. inc in all 6 sts [12]
Rnd 3. (1 sc, inc in next st) rep 6 times [18]
Rnd 4. (2 sc, inc in next st) rep 6 times [24]

Fasten of leaving a long tail for sewing. Does not need to be stufed. Sew it on a
lateral half of the body of-white end.
Make another and sew it in the other half.

TAIL:
In brown yarn
Rnd 1. 5 sc in a magic ring [5]
Rnd 2. inc in all 5 sts [10]
Rnd 3-7. sc in all 5 sts [10]
Fasten of leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuf lightly. Sew it on body between
rounds 39 & 40 above the booty.

BACK LEGS: (make 2)


Start in of-white yarn
Rnd 1. 6 sc in a magic ring [6]
Rnd 2. inc in all 6 sts [12]
Rnd 3. (1 sc, inc in next st) rep 6 times [18]
Rnd 4-9. sc in all 18 sts [18]
Rnd 10. (4 sc, dec) rep 3 times [15]
Change to brown yarn
Rnd 11. sc in all 15 sts [15]
Rnd 12. (3 sc, dec) rep 3 times [12]
Rnd 13-15. sc in all 12 sts [12]
Stuf firmly.
Rnd 16. dec 6 times [6]
Fasten of leaving a long tail for sewing. Using a tapestry needle, weave the yarn
tail through the front loop of each remaining st and pull tight to close. Sew it on
body between rounds 39 & 40 below the booty.

FOOTPRINTS: (make 8)
In pink yarn
Rnd 1. 8 sc in a magic ring [8]
Fasten of leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew 4 on each back leg.
Sew the head to the body, if you like do it sideways like the model.
