Dhulikhel Municipality Improve Financial Performance

Revenue Side The municipality could not collect local taxes properly in FY 1998/99 as
compared with previous years. Please monitor the collection process.

Municipality should initiate levying service charges to increase revenue by

providing urban services viz. public toilet, drinking water, solid waste disposal, street light and so on to urban people.

Kindly introduce entertainment, advertisement, commercial video and land

related (house-land or integrated property) taxes to increase municipal revenue.

The municipality can initiate an approach for sharing of tax on extraction of

sand and gravel sale with Kavre DDC.

Please initiate cost sharing project in the town. Expenditure Side The overall performance on expenditure was satisfactory. Kindly increase expenditure in capital investment No. of employees per thousand population is 4.29 which is higher than the
average of 58 municipalities (2.85 per thousand). The municipality should initiate proper trimming of the manpower.
