Rotary Initiation for Supporting Differently Able Population

INTRODUCTION: Ms. Srijana Dahal, born to Chandra Bahadur Dahal and Subhadra Dahal, started singing since childhood and had even won the second prize in All Nepal Folk Competition in 2050 BS. She has had achieved several other awards and released 13 albums with other artists and has already recorded more than 150 songs in Radio Nepal and other studios. Despite these endeavors she hasnt been able to establish herself as a professional singer and her economical condition has unaltered. So, with the release of this album, Ms. Dahal expects to be independent and establish herself as a professional singer.

Main objective: To release a Solo Album of Ms. Srijana Dahal. To motivate other differently able people in their field and make them independent. To promote rotary movements for differently able population.

To establish Rotary Foundation for Supporting Differently Able Population, which will provide annual award for talented Differently Able Population in Nepal

About the album: The new album is titled Asha ko Aavas. It consists of 8 songs by Ms. Srijana Dahal, written by Durga Lal Shrestha and composed and arranged by Nhyoo Bajracharya. All songs were recorded at Do Re Mi Studio, Jamal and will be marketed and distributed by Reason 9 Recording and Music Company, Pulchowk.

Program for the very day: On this context, the Rotary Club of Kathmandu Sunrise is organizing an event called Dakshya in co-ordination with the Rotaract Club of New Road City and Rotaract Club of Jawalakhel Manjushree. The event is an acoustic musical night to promote a blind singer Ms. Srijana Dahal to launch her album Asha ko Avas. The program is going

to be organized at Ashok Hall, Patan from 5pm onwards. There is also a special performance by the popular singer Ciney Gurung to encourage Ms. Srijana.

Outcome of the project: Though lots of help has been provided to us to reach till here, we still lack some ability to make this step a success. This program is beyond our financial abilities and cant be successful without your support. Thus, we humbly request you to provide us with your kind support and help in whatever way you can. If this program is successfully conducted, a new life will be provided to the differently able people and they will be highly motivated to stand on their own feet in their life. About Rotary Foundation for Supporting Differently Able Population One of the objectives of the project and this event is to raise fund for the Rotary Foundation for Supporting Differently Able Population in Nepal by providing Award each year to talented and needy Differently Able People. The target amount for the foundation is Rs. 500,000.00. We hope to collect contribution to the foundation from the interested individual and organization whose contribution shall be listed in the AWARD. We would like to encourage interested individual and company who would like to sponsor the award in their own name.
