WHEN TROUBLESHOOTING VoIP ISSUES (No Dial Tone)

1) Ensure the account is active, with a package and the internet is working.

2) Ensure the account has an email address with notifications.

3) Ensure the CMD&MTA Headend&Hub point to (HF2&HF2) respectively.

4) Ensure the account has an active number with the following;

a) A voice plan(Tariff) Y-20(HFC) & Y-12(GPON)

b) Telephone with twelve numbers e.g.(254205205205)

c) The Headend&Hud point to (HF2&HF2) respectively

d) The equipment MTA ID pointed to port 1 e.g.(00:30:54:5D:E1:BF#1) for HFC

And the equipment ONU ID pointed to port 1 e.g.(48575443D6B7D50E#1) for GPON

e) For GPON ensure there is a username and password;

Username: The accounts tel. no. in full(254205205205)

Password: xxxxxxxx

5) If all is well then; refresh CMD,MTA, refresh VoIP and reboot CMD for HFC

& refresh ONU and VoIP (DO NOT REBOOT THE ONU) for GPON.
Cordless Handsets (Sagem);

-Ensure the phone charger is connected to the modem on Tel. 1

-Ensure the phone chargers is connected to a power source and there is a green light at the back
indicating the same.

-The handset screen should read(Handset 1) if it shows(Searching) re-check points 1 and 2 above.

Desktop Phone (Panasonic);

-Ensure the phone is connected to Tel. 1

-Ensure the phone is set on tone and not pulse on the side button for dialing mode.
