ANNUAL ENGLISH PROJECT

1º GRADE

"PLANTING VALUES - GROWING TOGETHER"


GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
To promote the development of positive values and socio-emotional skills in first-grade
students.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
To promote empathy and understanding among students.
To reinforce the importance of friendship and teamwork.
To stimulate self-expression and self-confidence.
To instill respect for oneself, others, and the environment.
LEARNING GOALS FOR THE PROJECT:
Knowledge Acquisition:
Students will learn about the importance of empathy, teamwork, and self-expression in
building positive relationships.
Skill Development:
Students will enhance their communication skills through activities like storytelling, letter
writing, and art expression.
Personal Growth:
Students will build self-confidence by sharing their talents and expressing themselves
creatively.
Environmental Awareness:
Students will develop an appreciation for the environment through hands-on activities like
planting and caring for plants.
Values Integration:
Students will reflect on their own values and understand how they can align their actions
with those values.
Students will practice respect, responsibility, and empathy in their interactions with others,
both in school and in their community.
ACTIVITIES:
TRIMESTER 1: EMPATHY AND FRIENDSHIP
Activity 1 (April 8th to 19th): Introduction of basic values (respect, responsibility,
friendship).
Activity 2 (April 22nd to May 3rd): Hug Day: promoting empathy and closeness among
students.
Activity 3 (May 6th to 17th): Friendship letters: writing letters to a classmate highlighting
their positive qualities.
Activity 4 (May 20th to 31st): Role-playing games to practice conflict situations and
peaceful resolution.
TRIMESTER 2: CONFIDENCE AND SELF-EXPRESSION
Activity 1 (June 17th to July 5th): Storytelling about the importance of values.
Activity 2 (July 8th to 26th): Talent Day: sharing special skills and fostering self-confidence.
Activity 3 (July 29th to August 16th): Art workshop: expressing emotions through art.
Activity 4 (August 19th to September 6th): Creation of a collective mural about diversity and
inclusion.
TRIMESTER 3: RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Activity 1 (September 23rd to October 11th): Excursion to a natural park to raise awareness
about the importance of nature.
Activity 2 (October 14th to November 1st): Planting of plants in the schoolyard.
Activity 3 (November 6th to November 15th): Creation of ecological posters to promote
environmental care.
Activity 4 (November 18th to November 22nd): Cooperative games to encourage teamwork.

socio-emotional skills throughout the school year, incorporating fun and meaningful
activities for first-grade students**
