Coreless Induction Furnace (C IF)

Our gas diffuser range has been
specifically developed for a number of
applications, including the CIF unit,
ladles and aluminium melting and
holding furnaces. We have a

CERAMICS
Ceramics
Capital Injection Ceramics (CIC), a
wholly owned division of the Capital
Refractories Group, specialises in th e
manufacture of injec ted ceramic cores
used in the IGT, aerospace , medical,
hardware and automotive ind ustries .
CIC has an established and proven
range of core bodies These are
suitable for use for cas ting by Equ iax,
Directional Solidification and Single
Crystal processes and can be used
when casting in nickel , chrome and
cobalt based stainles s steels , high
temperature steels, and alumi nium.
Some of the enhancements CIC can
provide to the cores produced include
coating of the core to reduce/eliminate
core/metal reacti ons, these incl ude
cobalt, zircon and alumina.
Strength ening of the core is another
process that can be provided , if
req uired, by use of a range of resins.
CIC has proven its capabi lity by
successful ly producing some of th e
largest and most complex blades and
vanes for aerospace and IGT
customers with over 250 tools
developed fo r production . Customers
such as the PCC Group, Doncaster's
Group, Esco and Mitsubishi.
CIC is certified to AS91 00, the high ly
respected aerospace quality
