Types of Induction
There are two (2) types of inductions for visiting or working at Heritage facilities.

Visitor Induction

Visitor induction is required for persons visiting Heritage offices for meetings. This induction
gives the participant a brief overview of Heritage systems and equips them with information
regarding the requirements while at Heritage office.

NB: If you are visiting Heritage offices to conduct work, you require the HSSE Induction.

HSSE Induction

HSSE Induction is required for all persons visiting Heritage facilities (Operational and Office) to
perform work. The HSSE Induction gives the participant a full overview of Heritage HSSE
Policies and Procedures.

Visitor Induction Request

Visitor Induction

For Visitor Inductions, please send request to the respective Heritage Representative visiting and
this will be facilitated through the respective Heritage Admin Assistant.

Please include the following information for everyone:

• Name (First & Last)

• National Identification Number (ID/DP/PP)

• Email address (individual email address)

• Company

NB: Please note that the assessment is to be completed by every person entering the facility and
therefore, an individual email address is required to log in.

Once the request has been sent, the registered participants shall receive an email with
instructions for completing the HSSE Induction within 24 hours.

The email will be sent from Symmetry Consulting Limited Admin

HSSE Induction Request

All persons accessing Heritage facilities shall complete the HSSE Induction. If HSSE Induction is
required, please visit the following link to make a request:

Please include the following information for everyone:

• Name (First & Last)

Accessing Portal
First time access to the portal will require you to change your password. Please follow the
following instructions:

1. Please click the link on the email received to go to the log in page.

NB: If you are having trouble accessing the portal, please contact your IT Department and verify
that the firewall is allowing access to the portal.

2. This will take you to the reset password screen. Enter the email address used for
registration and click “Get new password”.

3. You will then receive an email with instructions for changing your password. Click on the
reset password link.

4. You will then be taken to the reset password page. Please enter your password and then
confirm your password. Then click save password.

5. You will be taken to the log in page. Please enter your email address and your password
and click “Log in”.

Completing the Induction

1. After logging in, you will be taken to the Dashboard page. Please click on “Your Courses”
button.

2. You will then see the HSSE Induction. Please click on the Induction to begin.

3. You will be taken to the Course Content page. Click on the first item in the course content
to start the induction.

4. Click the play button on the screen to start the course.

5. Once you have viewed the video, click on “mark complete” to continue to the next part of
the Induction.

6. Repeat steps 9 and 10 until all the videos are viewed. Please note that you must complete
all videos to complete the Induction.

Induction Quiz
1. Once all the videos are viewed you will then proceed to complete the HSSE Induction
quiz. Please click on “start quiz” to begin. You are required to achieve 80% of questions
correctly to successfully complete the HSSE Induction.

2. After completion of the quiz, you will see on the screen if you were successful or not. If
you were not successful, you can retake the quiz.

3. If you were successful, click continue. You will also receive an email stating that you
have completed the HSSE Induction.

HSSE Induction Card

1. You will see that you have earned a certificate. Click on the “Certificate” button to view
your certificate.

2. You will be taken to the Certificate Verification page. You will see a preview of your HSE
Induction card on the left of the screen. Click on “Download PDF” to download your HSSE
Induction card.

Note: If the error: "Failed to load pdf document occurs" when trying to download your certificate
or card you can copy the address of the certificate from the address bar and then paste that
address in another browser to gain access to your certificate.

Or if that method does not work please visit our FAQs page
(https://symmetrytrainingportal.com/faqs/) and follow the instructions stated there under
the heading "Failed to load pdf" Error when trying to download certificate or card.

3. You can print your induction card and/ or store it electronically for presenting to Heritage
Security Team. The barcode on your HSSE Induction card shall be used for verification
purposes by Heritage Team.

Induction Validity
HSSE Induction is valid for 1 year from the time of successful completion and shall be redone
after the time has elapsed or if required to do so at Heritage request.

Visitor Inductions are valid for 3 months and shall be redone after the time has elapsed or if
required to do so at Heritage request.

All persons working on or visiting any of Heritage facilities shall complete the HSSE
Induction or Visitor Induction.
