Important Notice: End of Year Term 3 Assessment schedule for Year 9 Students

Dear Parents,

Firstly, we hope you and your family are well and looking forward to a restful midterm break.

The below schedule outlines the end of term summative assessments occurring for your son/daughter. To
support students to achieve the very best outcomes we have implemented the below measures.

• The assessment window is three weeks in duration to provide students with enough time to fully
prepare for each individual assessment. (27th May to 13th June).
• Students will have a maximum of two assessments on a single day.
• Some subject exams have been removed and students will be assessed informally in class. Formative
in class assessments such as project work, quizzes and student presentations are invaluable
assessment strategies which demonstrate student learning and progress.
• Staff will provide topic/revision guides for each assessment to better direct revision processes. Please
contact the subject teacher directly for this information.

All assessments will take place on the scheduled dates below, within normal lesson time. The grade achieved
by your child will contribute to their Term 3 attainment mark. At the school, we operate a continuous
approach to assessment and this grade will be used in conjunction with all other in-class informal
assessments, homework evidence and work produced throughout the term.
