The 90's decade
This was a decade of significant change,
marked by both highs and lows,
memorable events, iconic cultural
moments, and technological
advancements that continue to influence
our lives today.
Bad or good times?
The Rwandan Genocide in 1994
and the Balkan Wars brought
severe human suffering, while
the dot-com bubble towards the
end of the decade foreshadowed
economic instability.

The 1990s is often remembered as a
decade of relative peace and
prosperity: The Soviet Union fell,
ending the decades-long Cold War,
and the rise of the Internet ushered
in a radical new era of
communication, business and
entertainment.
Memorable event:
One of the most memorable events of
the 1990s was the dissolution of the
Soviet Union in 1991, which marked
the end of the Cold War. This historic
event not only reshaped the political
landscape of Europe and Asia but also
symbolized a victory for democratic
and capitalist ideologies over
communism.
Craze
It was an era of internet craze, they used to use it
diary at the end of the 90’s, setting the stage for
the digital age. Another craze of the decade were
the beanie babies, collective stuffed animals, the
tamagotchi this virtual pets required regular
attention and care.
Music
Electronic music, grew highly popular in
the 1990s, as well as new electronic dance
music genres such as rave, happy
hardcore, trip hop.
Also the grunge movement, with Nirvana's
"Smells Like Teen Spirit" (1991), became a
defining sound of the early 1990s. This
song, with its raw energy and rebellious
spirit, epitomized the grunge genre and
influenced a generation of music lovers.
Inventions
One of the most important inventions
were the Smartphones, the digital
camera, emojis and the Web browsers,
such as Mosaic and Netscape
Navigator, made the web user-friendly
and accesible to the general public..
Habits
In the 1990s people used to write
correspondence with fax machines in
the offices, they also used to listen to
music with CD’s and cassette tapes
and played arcade and home
consoles. They always used brights
colors and patterns.

Fashion
Fashion during the 1990s sparked a
wave of minimalist looks, breaking
away from the big hair and shoulder
pads that dominated the '80s. Casual,
chic outfits defined by baggy T-shirts,
slip dresses, and sportswear
significantly shaped 1990s fashion
trends.
