2 Special Responsibilities
Extra-Curricular Activities
Plan and deliver a programme of enrichment activities derived from the taught
curriculum and/or from other interests and needs of the learners, on a weekly basis
throughout each academic year
The post holder will, from time to time, be required to undertake other duties of a similar
nature as may reasonably be required by the school

There may be occasions when the post holder’s role and skill set are required elsewhere
within the school and /or to attend school excursions, so flexibility will be essential.
Teachers uphold public trust in the profession and maintain high standards of ethics and
behaviour, within and outside the school, by:

rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate
to a teacher’s professional position.

local and international statutory provisions.

not patronise fundamental international values, including democracy, the rule of law,
individual liberty and mutual respect, and tolerance of those with different faiths and
beliefs.
ensuring that personal beliefs are not expressed in ways which manipulate
students’ a n d o t h e r s ’ vulnerability or might lead them to break the law.
Teachers must have proper and professional regard for the ethos, policies, and
practices of the s chool in which they teach and maintain high standards in their own
attendance and punctuality.
Teachers must have an understanding of, and always act within, the statutory frameworks
which set out their professional duties and responsibilities.
Teachers must abide by and support the school’s Code of Conduct and Practice:
Put the wellbeing, development and progress of children and young people first.
Take responsibility for maintaining the quality of their teaching practice.
Guide children and young people to become confident and successful learners.
Show respect for diversity and promote equality.
Work to establish productive partnerships with parents and carers.
Function as part of a whole-school team and co-operate professionally with
other colleagues.
Demonstrate honesty, integrity and uphold public trust & confidence in the
teaching profession.
