INSTRUCTIONS This exam consists of TWO Questions. Answer all


questions. Question 1 – Ms Excel (Spreadsheet with
Formulas) Question 2 – Ms Excel (Spreadsheet with Charts)
NB: Students should ensure that their Surnames, Initials,
Signatures and Student Numbers appears on their Test Cover
Page and on every printout. Students should sign their
printouts (each question). Printouts without student
particulars will not be marked.

QUESTION 1 ADVANCED EXCEL [55 MARKS]

Type this spreadsheet in A4 portrait orientation exactly as shown and


adhere to the provided instructions below. Use Cavolini Font style at
size 10 for all content except for the main heading. Center-align your
Surname, Initials, and Student number in the document header. Do not
type (?), row and column headings.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Insert (image 2) into this spreadsheet in row 1:3 and centre
aligned. (1)
2. Sort all the products in this spreadsheet into ascending order. (1)
3. In cell B16, calculate the grand total using a function. Copy
the formula into cell range B16:E16. (1)
4. In cell B17, extract the number of characters from the left-hand
side of the text in cell A13 using a function. (1)
5. In cell B18, extract the number of characters from the right-hand
side of the text in cell A13 using a function. (1)
6. In cell B19, extract the text from inside string in cell A13 using a
function. (1)
7. Use a function in cell B20, replace the text in cell A1 "EDUCBA"
with "TERM 1". (1)
8. Use a function in cell B21, replace the text in cell C1 “BB" with
"AA". (1)
9. Using a function in cell B22, to calculate if the Grand Total in B16
is Greater than Equals to 25000 is Profit or Loss. (1)
