04/08/17: It appears that during unknown conditions (most likely unlucky RNG) there's a slight Record Breaker
chance that the trophies where you have to kill a certain monster may not pop after killing it. You

should save before the ght and/or load the autosave in case the trophy doesn't pop right after

him in Trial Mode, and you'll be forced to start the game over or load an earlier save if the game Exemplar

The Mist Seethes
Now that you're right before the nal dungeon you can start obtaining the remaining Espers,
Magicks and Technicks. You do not have to complete the remaining Hunts in the main game - if
you want, you can face a weaker version of the remaining Marks in Trial Mode (especially
Yiazmat), and their individual trophies will still pop. Just make sure to load the auto-save from the
trial mode for the Scrivener trophy. You still have to face the Hell Wyrm in the main game for
the Cartographer trophy.

or it will overwrite your Autosave, and you won't be able to add bestiary entries earned in stages
91-99 with it. After that the plat is yours!
There are things you should be careful when expanding your board. First is being careful
which Quickening you pick - there are 4 quickenings on board, and you can only pick 3, making the
last one disappear from the board. This may cause being locked out of a bonus ability or
equipment, so it is recommended to learn Quickenings when you obtain your second license
board. After that, pick a character, check both of his/her License Boards and decide which abilities
near them are the least useful, or even lead to nothing. So if for example, you want to learn a
Quickening costing 75LP, but then you notice that you won't learn any additional abilities from it
on both of the boards, then it's a sign that you should work your way towards the more expensive
ones. Still, even if you managed to pick unfavourable Quickenings, it's not a reason to start the
game over.
The second thing is similar, but this time it concerns the Espers. When you look at the board, you
may notice that a lot of the Licenses can't be reached. That's because you have to capture an
appropriate Esper, and then it will become a "bridge" to that License. You can only assign each
Esper to one character, so be sure to assign it to someone with the most bene cial License.
Before you spot a nice License next to an Esper, make sure it doesn't appear on the second board.
So for example, if you see "White Magick 5" on your Archer board next to an Esper, and your
second board is White Mage, then you don't have to buy that Esper, and instead, unlock it on the
second board, while giving the Esper to another character for which it will be more bene cial.
Picking a Job
When it comes to picking jobs for characters, then you can get by with almost any combination.
During my playthrough, I picked a job for each character that would t well with their personality:
made Vaan a Shikari, Balthier a Machinist, Fran an Archer etc. and didn't have any di culties at
any point in the game, even though any other guide would tell you that it's a poor choice. It is if you
absolutely want that 5-10% more damage out of these jobs (or if you're playing New Game-) - pick
whatever you feel you're going to have fun with.
If you really want my opinion, then you should de nitely pick the Foebreaker board (everyone says
to give it for Fran), as it will make every super boss a breeze with stat lowering Technicks at its
Disposal, potentially removing any challenge (Monk also have access to some). Another jobs that
shined in my playthrough are White Mage + Time Battlemage boards (gave it to Penelo) - this
combination will have access to every supportive spell, and the crossbow will keep the user at a
safe distance from enemy attacks. Shikari + Bushi combination (gave it to Vaan) is one of the
best melee damage dealers late-game, having access to weapons relying on multiple hits, and
Genji Gloves, which will furtherly increase the chance of doing combos. Black Mage + Red
Battlemage combination (gave it to Ashe) is the best Magick damage dealer, having access to
every offensive spell beside Holy. The rest of my party was composed of Knight + Monk (Basch)
Machinist + Uhlan (Balthier), Archer + Foebreaker (Fran), but these combinations don't work well if
you ask any veteran (that's why they're not in bold), so it's entirely up to you.
After you reach the Brave Companion rank (14 Marks, 100,000 Clan Points), you'll be able to buy a
Cat-Ear Hood from Clan Provisioner for 50,000 Gil. This accessory converts your License Points to
gil, earning you [5 x Character Lv.] per each point earned. It can be equipped by multiple
characters, earning a lot of money at high levels. Take note that you won't earn any License Points,
so it's recommended to equip it on characters with a completed License Board.
Bazaar
Important loot you shouldn't sell (yet)
The only loot you should worry about are materials needed for Tournesol - the best Greatsword,
and Kumbha - the best Katana. Selling materials below as soon as you obtain them is ine cient,
and may cause additional farming. If you don't have a Bushi or Knight in your jobs then you can
ignore the list below.
Gemsteel (needed for the best Greatsword and Katana)
Serpentarius (needed for the best Greatsword)
Empyreal Soul (needed for the best Greatsword)
High Arcana (needed for Serpentarius and Empyreal Soul)
Damascus Steel (needed for Gemsteel)
Scarletite (needed for Gemsteel)
Soul Powder (needed for Empyreal Soul)
Wargod's Band (needed for Empyreal Soul)
Serpent Eye (needed for Serpentarius)
Serpent Skin (needed for Serpentarius)
Feystone (needed for High Arcana)
Soul of Thamasa (needed for High Arcana)
Orichalcum (needed for the best Katana)
The rest of the loot isn't required for any important multiple recipes and they can be easily
obtained in large quantities, so you can just sell them and have less loot to worry about.

Cerobi Steppe has a lot of rare equipment that can be acquired early in the game. One problem -
all of the chests have either 20% or 10% chance to spawn, and the treasure in it has a 5% chance
to appear. The only advantage of these chests is that they can be spawned in nitely. The table
below will list only some of the treasures which may be worth spending more than 5 minutes
getting it, mostly because they are close to the exit point and can be spawned faster. Make sure to
equip Diamond Armlet before opening them.

Three different "100% chance" Seitengrat videos were tested for the sake of this guide, and only
the 3rd one awarded a single Seitengrat after 3 tries. Not to mention the wasted time, which could
have been used on leveling up characters. The video below shows a method that brought results
during my playthrough, so use it at your own discretion.

The other two invisible pieces of equipment are reserved for completionists only, and are not
worth it during a platinum run. The rst one is a shield called Gendarme which has the highest
Evasion and Magick Evasion out of all shields, plus it absorbs all Elements - you're pretty much
invincible when ghting with most of the weaker enemies. Shields are completely useless during
ghts with end-game bosses and Espers, as most of them ingore Evasion given by them, and the
only redeeming feature of Gendarme is the Elemental immunity, which could be easily replaced by
an accessory or armor, since enemies rarely use more than one element. The last invisible gear is
a one-handed sword called Great Trango. While being the second most powerful weapon it can
only be obtained during the last portion of the game, so it makes more sense to just get a
Seitengrat if you really want an overpowered weapon as it's 50% more powerful, and you can get it
pretty much at the beginning of the game.

from now, which of the two gates such as S1/S2 (Saggitarius Gate 1/Saggitarius Gate 2), should
you open with their corresponding Gate Stone. Only one can be opened, and you have a time limit
to open either one.
While at Waystone X, make your way towards the Sagittarius Gate Stone and activate it (while
trying to get the Rare Game there). Now you will have to pick which gate should you open - as you
may have noticed, they both lead to different areas only accessible by picking either S1 or S2. It is
recommended to pick S2 when it's your rst time here because one of the treasures after it is
Shellga needed for the Runeweaver trophy and Yagyu Darkblade, that will make the Ultima
ght a lot easier, considering you have a Shikari board. After using Waystone XII and teleporting to
Waystone XIV, make your way towards Leo Gate Stone, activate it and open L1 - get the Shellga
behind it. Activate Leo Gate stone again, travel to L2 and open it - after that, you can go back to
where Yagyu Darkblade is, and try to spawn it. Go to Waystone XV and use it, then go to Libra Gate
Stone, activate it and open L2 with it. Make your way to Ring of Renewal if you want, and activate
Capricorn Gate Stone when going back. With it, quickly run to C1 through L2 and open it. Activate
Virgo Gate Stone and open V1 with it - now the path to Ultima & Excalibur is open. To get to
Hastega & Omega XII boss, you have to activate Aquarius Gate Stone and open A1 by going
through V1 and L2. Now you have to go back to Capricorn Gate Stone, activate it again and open
C2 this time. Now, travel to Taurus Gate Stone, activate it and walk all the way through A1>L2>C2
to open either T2 for Hastega Magick or T1 for Omega XII boss (you can't ght it unless you
accepted the hunt for Yiazmat).

spots in the water. After delivering them, she will then need phials of Nebralim, and she sends you
back to Dantro. After talking to him, he will point you to the boxes where you can nd them - there
are two phials, so nd them for a better reward. The next item she requires is Valeblossom Dew,
and three can be found in Broken Sands by owerings trees. You have to take the ferry this time
though, and it unlocks after doing an easy, short quest by talking to the boy on the pier after the
events in Tomb of Raithwall. After delivering the Dew, Dantro's Wife will ask for Great Serpentskin
acquired from Nidhogg hunt - it's not required, but you won't get the best reward. After talking to
her again, the patient will come out, giving you the Barheim Key, and an additional reward
dependent on how many items have you delivered it can be a Balance Mote, Magick Gloves or
Golden Amulet.
First Medallion
The rst piece of it is gained after nishing Wraith, White Mousse, and Orthos Hunts - you'll
receive a Blackened Fragment from the last one.
The second piece is found in Garamsythe Waterway - you have to switch the sluice gates in
an order to make it appear: Turn off every switch > Turn on No. 11 > Turn on No. 4 > Turn off
No. 11 > Turn on No. 3 > Turn off No 4. The fragment will then fall on the oor in the same
area, nd it and pick it up.
For the last piece, you have to talk to Roh'kenmou at Old Dalan place - you also have to talk
to Ma'kleou at Nabreus Deadlands/Muted Scarp to make him appear there. After that talk to
Filo in southern Lowtown, then to Curious Woman near a fountain at the Southern Plaza.
After talking to her go to Muthruu Bazaar and talk to one of the Bangaa merchants there that
will mention a medallion (not Clan Provisioner). Go to the Magick shop and talk to the
Imperial Soldier there, choose the rst response, and go back to Filo again. Finally with all
three fragments go back to Dalan's place and talk to Roh'kenmou again and the First
Medallion arc complete.
Second Medallion
Go to the Magick Shop in Archades to nd Roh'Kenmu. After talking to him, go to Old
Archades/Alley of Muted Sighs and nd the Proper Gent in the eastern part of the area. After
talking to him he'll give you a Moonsilver Medallion - go back to Roh'Kenmu and the Second
Medallion arc is done
Third Medallion
Bring the previous Medallions to Ma'kleou back at Nabreus Deadlands, after that, you have to
travel to Overlooking Eternity - you'll nd the hidden path leading to it in the northwestern part of
The Slumbermead. After the cutscene, you can now open the locked doors in Necrohol of
Nabudis, where you'll face two bosses you have to defeat in order to enter the area with Esper
Chaos.
By talking to certain people in Trant, Nilbasse, Molberry and Rienna zones you receive a Tale. With
it, you have to nd another person that will be interested in it and will give you a Pinewood Chop
for sharing it. You can only carry one tale and they can be only shared with a person in the same
area. Talking to any citizen once will make his/her name appear, making the table below easier to

This will be one of the rst trophies you'll earn. Simply attack any enemy 300 times, and the trophy
will pop. Take note that using Magick doesn't count as an Attack.
Spellslinger 68.79%
Cast Magicks 200 times. COMMON
Cast any Magick 200 times - be it offensive or defensive, and the trophy will pop.
Use any Technick 100 times, and the trophy will pop. Steal is a Technick required for Master
Thief, so you might as well earn it alongside.
Successfully steal from any enemy 50 times, and the trophy will pop. Run towards enemies with a
gambit set to steal, increase your speed and it shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.
Kill 500 enemies - be it a rat or a Behemoth. Killing stuff is a natural order of things in this game,
so it will de nitely pop in the rst hours of the game.

Another trophy you'll get naturally while playing, as chaining monsters is the best way to farm rare
loot. When killing monsters of the same class such as "Ghost", "Skeleton", "Tortoise", "Coeurl" -
you'll build up a chain. The chain is broken when you kill an enemy from any other class, use a
Save Crystal or enter an area where you only control Vaan (It won't break when you use Strahl later
in the game). Take note that killing enemies from the same genus won't build up a chain, so even if
ghosts, zombies and skeletons are undead, your chain won't increase if you kill them alternately.
Most of the players get a large chain for the rst time when they arrive at Yensa Sandsea, killing
Urutan Yensa, but it's possible even with wolves at Estersand. Get a chain of 50, and the trophy will
pop.
Wayfarer 70.40%
Took 50,000 steps. COMMON
Another trophy you'll get naturally in the rst hours (minutes?) of playing, especially with increased
speed. Your total number of steps is shown in the lower section on the party screen, near your
total play time. Increase that number to 50,000, and the trophy will pop.
Plunderer 61.05%
Acquired 100,000 gil. COMMON
GRIND
It's cumulative, so you're more than likely to get it naturally when selling loot. A good way to earn
gil right from the start (in Zodiac Age at least) is to launch the trial mode and open the chest after
climbing the stairs in the rst stage - it has a Diamond Armlet in it. Now just beat that stage, load
the autosave, and you'll keep the Armlet which you can sell for 6,000 gil. Do it 17 times if you want
the trophy as fast as possible, or do it less than that and give yourself an easy start (It is
recommended to buy monographs).
GRIND
You earn Clan Points by killing monsters and marks, but only after joining Clan Centurio in their
hall at Rabanastre/North End when you nish the Rogue Tomato hunt. Your current points are
shown in the Clan Primer in lower right corner. This will come naturally in about 20-30 hours of
playing so don't worry about it.
Spendthrift 31.97%
Spent 1,000,000 gil. UNCOMMON
Spend a million buying stuff from any merchant, bazaar included. If you're aiming to get a
Tournesol from the bazaar, then it will de nitely come naturally.
Privateer 53.42%
Sold 1,000 pieces of loot. COMMON
Sell 1,000 pieces of loot to any merchant - nothing di cult, just make sure to pick up every loot
bag the monsters drop, try to build up a lot of chains and the trophy will pop after about 20 hours
of playing.
Exemplar 33.93%
Raised your party's average level above 50. UNCOMMON

GRIND
It's not di cult if you regularly level up your reserve characters. It's a bit easier if you level up Vaan
at Dustia when he's still alone (check Tips & Strategies) because every character that joins
afterwards will always have a higher level than him. If you're way past that, then just bring a party
composed of 1-2 strong and 1 weak characters with Embroidered Tippet equipped (2x exp
accessory) to an area lled with foes that give a lot of exp, and the trophy will pop in no time,
especially with increased speed.
Conqueror 34.93%
Earned 48,000 License Points. UNCOMMON
GRIND
You earn license points by defeating any monster - most of them give 1 LP, but Marks, Bosses,
Rare Game and some of the bigger monsters give more, sometimes hundreds. You should get this
trophy by the time you ll every License Board, so you shouldn't need to farm for it in any point of
the game, especially with increased speed, that hastens the process. The accessory Golden
Amulet doubles your License Point gain for the character that has it equipped.
Scrivener 12.56%
Completed the Bestiary. RARE
COLLECTABLE
This may be the last trophy you'll have to earn. You have to kill everything you can kill at least
once (bonus pages are not needed), that means 45 marks, 80 rare games, 18 bosses, 13 Espers
and around 230 other non-boss enemies. Describing every enemy's whereabouts would be...
impractical to say the least, so instead, the table below shows how your bestiary should look.
Check Tips & Strategies for a brief Rare Game Guide.
If a monster is written in Green then that means you can ght it in trial mode, load the autosave
from it, and that monster will appear in your bestiary in the main game. Take note that you will
lose your trial progress if you do that, so you should do it on stages you can get to in small
amount of time, or when you're sure you can make it to the end. Monsters in Red mean that they
will also appear in trial mode, but you'll also need to ful l additional requirement in the round that
monster appears in. The number in (brackets) is the stage in which a coloured monster appears in
Trial Mode.

There are 8 Concurrences in total, each one appearing after a certain combination of Quickenings
is used in any order. When trying to earn it, always work your way towards the strongest
Concurrence, and then work your way towards the weakest. Bring 3 characters with a maximum
Mist Charge to an area with a monster and a save crystal nearby (the save crystal restores your
Mist Charge). Always start the chain with a LVL 3 Quickening. After that, prioritize getting the
required amount of LVL 3's before LVL 1 and 2.
This minigame requires a bit of re ex - when starting the Mist Chain, a table with character names
and their Quickenings appears in the lower right corner. If all of them are darkened, then you have
to shu e with R2 until you get a highlighted name of a Quickening which you can press once, or
"Mist Charge" which you have to press twice. You start with 4 seconds to input the next
Quickening, and you receive half of the time you used up in the previous action. Also, remember
which characters you have used up because if, for example, a character that starts the chain with
his LVL 3 quickening and there's another Quickening or "Mist Charge" available near his name, then
you should use it, which saves up the Mist Charges of other two characters.

Defeat Deathgaze either by facing it in Trial Mode at stage 65 or by accepting "Hunt 26: Visitor on

picking "Leisure Craft" from the airship station - the more you travel by it, the higher the chance it
will eventually appear.
The party shouldn't have problems defeating it by the time you accept the hunt. You can dispel,
silence, and use breaker Techniques on him, but the fastest way to defeat it, is to cast Reverse and
Renew on it, which causes it to be left with one hp, and the player just needs to throw a potion, or
cast a cure on it.

His ght is mostly the same as other powerful Marks - Dispel his buffs, cast slow, lower his stats
with breaker Techniques if you have any, and Fafnir shouldn't be a problem. He's also weak to
electricity, so bring your Black Mage.
When facing him in Trial Mode, he can be killed instantly with Nihopalaoa + Phoenix down combo,
making it one of the easiest stage in Trial Mode.

Defeat Trickster either by facing it in Trial Mode at stage 58 or by accepting "Hunt 37: Paramina

nds a transparent Chocobo walking around, and follow him until he can be targetable.

the autosave in case the trophy doesn't pop right after killing it. Thought, this one can still be
earned in Trial Mode as mentioned earlier.

to kill a certain monster may not pop after killing it. You should save before the ght and/or load
the autosave in case the trophy doesn't pop right after killing it. This particular trophy may
potentially become missable if you're really unlucky, so be sure to make a save before facing
Gilgamesh, in both ghts just to be safe.

Defeat Gilgamesh by accepting "Hunt 40: Battle on the Big Bridge" after events in Draklor
Laboratory, defeating him in Trial Mode won't pop the trophy this time. Gilgamesh is fought in 2
places in Lhusu Mines, rst time at Tasche Span (one zone away from teleport crystal), and then
at Site 7. To get to Site 7, you need Site 11 Key, which can be obtained after completing the Hunt
for Antlion. The key will then appear at Phon Coast by a fallen man that sits near a rock. Stealing
from Gilgamesh is the only way, besides the trials, to get the Genji Equipment.
The rst ght isn't di cult, cast some protective spells, dispel the buffs on Gilgamesh, slow him
down, focus on killing Enkidu rst, and then start nishing Gilgamesh off. Remember to steal the
Genji Equipment when he reaches 40% and 20% hp - you can steal the Genji Shield when he
reaches 40% and draws out his rst new sword, and the Genji Gloves when he reaches for a
second sword at 20%. After you defeat him, he will escape to Site 7 for a second round.
The second encounter will still be probably pretty easy if the party is at least at level 60. You will
have the easiest time ghting him when your characters are at levels that aren't dividable by 2, 3 or
4 - so levels 61, 65, 67, etc. are perfect for this battle. Why? Gilgamesh in this ght starts casting
abilities called Lv.2 Sleep, Lv.3 Disable, Lv.4 Break, and they will be 100% successful if your level is
dividable by those numbers - so if your characters are at Lv. 60 and he casts Lv.3 Disable then all
your characters are going to be disabled. Gilgamesh has slightly increased stats and does
combos more often, but other than that it's the same ght as before. Remember to steal from him
again when his HP drops to about 40% after he draws out a Tournesol (a serpent-like sword with a
sun symbol on the hilt) to get the Genji Helm. You have 10% of HP to do that before he goes into
the next stage and draws out the "Blade of Legend", in which you can steal the Genji Armor, but
only after his paling disappears.
BUGGY
Defeat the Behemoth King either by facing it in Trial Mode at stage 90 or by accepting "Hunt 42:
Truth Shrouded in Mist" after every Mark up to Fafnir has been vanquished. Behemoth King
spawns in Feywood at zone called The Edge of Reason. To spawn it, you must kill every enemy,
including the respawning ones, in both The Edge of Reason and Ice Field of Clearsight.
A worthy late-game opponent, which will regularly deal thousands of damage, but at the time you
accept this mark, you should already have access to Wither, and Addle Technicks, which can
lower all his damage to under 100, making the rest of the ght extremely easy. If you don't have
access to them or don't have the proper job, then your best strategy is to cast Reverse + Decoy on
your tank equipped with a Bubble Pelt, while placing the rest of the party on the sides away from
his AoE attacks.
After accepting the "prize" from petitioner, go to Mt. Bur-Omisace and nd a wyrm's tooth on one
of the big skulls you can interact with, unequip Vaan's weapon and you'll earn the real prize.

Defeat Yiazmat either by facing it in Trial Mode at stage 98 or by accepting "Hunt 45: Farewell to a
Legend" after vanquishing every Mark (excluding Shadowseer) and the Hell Wyrm (see Radiant
Savior for more information). You'll nd Yiazmat at the Colosseum in Ridorana Cataract.
The ultimate challenge and a monstrosity with over 50 million hp, taking 2 hours at average to
beat in the original version, can now be a total joke in Zodiac Age - considering you
have Wither and Addle Technicks. With stats lowered as much as possible, Yiazmat deals around
100 damage with good enough armor, making it an incredibly easy ght. Reduce his stats at the
beginning of the ght with said Technicks until he is no longer a threat, and then start
casting Expose Technick to lower his physical defence. The best damage dealer for this ght is a
Shikari equipped with Yagyu Darkblade (found in a chest in Great Crystal) and Genji Gloves. The
damage dealer's HP should then be lowered to about 6% of max HP and should be a icted
with Berserk status by using Bacchus Wine as well as Bravery status by either by using Domaine
Calvados or equipping the Brave Suit. With low HP, the damage dealer will have a higher chance to
reach bigger combos (up to 12 hits), while with Berserk & Bravery status he'll be able to deal even
50k per hit, potentially dealing over half a million damage per action. Yiazmat hits still have a 5%
chance to kill instantly even when debuffed, so make sure to bring a supply of Phoenix Downs.
You may also consider facing him in Trial Mode, especially when none of your characters can use
the mentioned Technicks. In Trial Mode, Yiazmat's HP is reduced to a mere 3.7 million. If you
happen to not own the Breaker Technicks, then have your support character constantly cast
Reverse + Decoy on your tank equipped with Bubble Belt, try to recreate the same damage dealer
as described earlier, and your own experience from playing the game up to this point should do the
rest.

BUGGY
Defeat the Hell Wyrm either by facing it in Trial Mode at Stage 87 or by reaching a secret room
after completing "Hunt 21: Get My Stuff Back". After completing the mentioned hunt, you'll obtain
a key item called Dragon Scale. Take the dragon scale to Cerobi Steppe/The Northsward, and nd
the Wyrm Philosopher on one of the windmills. He'll give you an Age Worn Key in exchange for
Dragon Scale, with which you can open a door that leads to the Hell Wyrm.
Now go to Sochen Cave Palace/Destiny's March, and enter the diamond shaped area from the
east side, and start walking clockwise around the area, opening only Doors of Hours. After making
a full circle, a door on the west side will open, leading to the Hell Wyrm.
Hell Wyrm is a weaker version of Yiazmat. By the time you get to him, you shouldn't have any
problem beating him on the rst try. It's weak to holy, so try to bring Holy Lance or Excalibur. Have
your support character cast Decoy + Reverse on the tank with Bubble Belt equipped, and have your
best damage dealer attack him from the side, and the ght will be over quickly; cast stat lowering
Technicks if you have access to them. Its attacks also have a 5% chance of killing, so be sure to
bring a supply of Phoenix Downs.

Obtain all 13 Espers hidden all over the world. Espers you stumble upon in the main storyline are
fairly easy, and they do not use any annoying tactics - your level and equipment by the time you
reach them will do the most of the job, making them a formality. The optional Espers are usually
hidden behind a side-quest, and some of them may pose a challenge when under-leveled. But, if
you come into their chambers prepared then you shouldn't have any problems whatsoever.

Completed the 100th trial. RARE
The real challenge begins after stage 80, some of the stages there will throw you off guard, while
some may be nished more quickly if you know how. Stages worth noting:
Stage 84: Esper battle with Chaos, you won't be able to attack so ready your Magick users
with Scatche, Shock, etc.
Stage 85: Before you kill the last foe, cast Reverse on your party members if you don't want
to be killed in less than 10 seconds next round.
Stage 86: With Reverse on, defeat the pirates rst with AoE Magick, then work your way
towards Rikken and Elza.
Stage 89: Equip Nihopalaoa and throw Phoenix Down at Fafnir to kill him instantly.
Stage 91: Magick Pot appears there, so make sure to throw an Elixir at it rst, and kill it as
fast as possible, ignoring rest of the enemies.
Stage 96: A lot of Abysteels, make sure to have reverse on, and cast Scatche/Scatche Motes
on them.
Stage 98: A weaker version of Yiazmat with 5 million hp; cast Breaker Technicks to weaken
him, or just cast Reverse + Decoy on your tank.
Stage 99: Don't cast Reverse when you're about to kill Omega Mark XII, or you're going to
have a bad time in the nal stage.
Stage 100: Here you will face all 5 Judges. Have your party members wear Bubble Belts, and
never cast Reverse. Have someone wear Nihopalaoa, throw Remedy at Ghis and nish him
off as fast as possible - have your best attacker wear Cameo Belt so that he won't miss as
often. Now if you have breaker Technicks then the rest of the ght is going to be a piece of
cake - bring your best support which you will be controlling (casting decoy of course),
characters that can use said Technicks and set their Gambit to use Wither on the enemy
with the highest strength. When their physical attacks are no longer a threat, you should
switch Wither to Addle, since some of them still cast some nasty spells. When all of their
attacks are no longer a threat, have someone wear Nihopalaoa again, throw Remedy/Serum
at Drace and Bergan and take them both out. All there's left is Gabranth and Zargabath, and
both of them will throw Elixirs at each other. With Nihopalaoa on, throw Prince's Kiss
at Zargabath - now you have to nish Gabranth off before the other one wakes up. Have your
best melee attacker wear Cameo Belt, and have all your party assault him with as many
buffs as possible. If you still have trouble to make it before Zargabath wakes up, then you
can try casting Re ectga on your characters and have your Black Mage cast Scathe on your
whole party, which will cause it to bounce off to Gabranth dealing 3x damage (make sure to
stay away from Zargabath). When he's out of the picture, the rest of the ght is just a
formality, and the trophy will pop after that. If you happen to don't have access to those
Technicks, then the strategy is mostly the same - just throw out every sentence with
Wither/Addle and just heal more often, using up Elixirs/MegaElixirs.
OR if you feel like beating this stage Zanmato style, then you can summon Zeromus,
have your summoner throw a Bubble Mote at him, then equip a Nihopalaoa and this
time throw an Elixir. Immediately cast Zeromus's Big Bang - if your summoner is at a
high enough level, then 3 Judges should bite the dust right from the start. All you have
to do now is to re ll Mist Charges with Elixir/Hi-Ether to summon Zeromus again, and
use Big Bang after lowering his HP to 1 with Elixir + Nihopalaoa (Bubble Mote shouldn't
be needed) - the remaining Judges should fall, and the Trial is won.
