The Creative Process

YeahIknow's Journey:

''To be honest, making this song was different from what I normally get to. I remember laying a simple
kick and drum and just trying to figure out where to go with it so I left it. A few days later I lay the drums
and percussions and just listen in a loop for a bit. A melody hit me but it was so plain but regardless, it
helped me sing a very rough version of what became the first verse later on."

Collaboration and Inspiration:

''The next day, I met up with GrisVer, an all-round record producer and friend, for a jam session for his
next live performance because we had a few songs together. There I met probably one of, if not the best
guitarist from Malawi. His name is Eugene. I opened the session on my laptop and since we had just
finished rehearsal, the electric guitar was still plugged in. This brother played those amazing
progressions you hear in the song and ever since then, we've worked on countless songs together.
Almost inseparable."

The Production Team

Vocal and Mastering:

"I then sent the vocals to Capone and when we were done, we sent it to TMB for the full master. This
single was solely made by The Afro-Fusion Sound System TM, our music collective established in
December 2022. We've worked on so much more and genuinely can't wait to bring it to y'all."

The Song's Essence

A Reflection on Love:

"To conclude, if you had to ask me what or who this song is about? I wouldn't really be able to say or
describe it to an extent where you can really understand what someone feels or does when they're in
love or when they're falling out of it."

Looking Ahead

Upcoming EP:

"This is the first single I'm releasing from my EP called 'I Lost' which I'll be dropping later this year as
soon as me and the team are genuinely satisfied with what we've made."
