1. Discuss ‘Bliss’ as a modern short story.


2. Discuss how Barrett Browning’s ‘How do I love thee?’ (Sonnet 43) explores the
physical, spiritual and moral aspects of romantic love.
3. Discuss the central thrust of Wollstonecraft’s arguments for female emancipation in A
Vindication, with special reference to the first two chapters of the treatise.
4. Critically comment on the socio-cultural significance of Rassundari Devi’s
autobiography, My Life.
5. Comment on Bronte’s narrative technique in Wuthering Heights.
