"The boy who harnessed the wind" - Film review

This film tells us the story of William Kamkwamba, a boy born in Malawi, who grew up
watching his parents go through huge economic difficulties at the same time, working as
farmers. His parents, despite their poor life, always tried to pay for their children's studies so
that William and his sister Annie could have a better future, but this changes when they stoped
being farmers because of the government starts buying land and cutting down trees, because of
industrial development, which influences climate change in the region, causing excess rain and
long periods of dry.
With climate change and the lands compromised, life in the village becomes even more
difficult. Without the lands, William's parents no longer have the money to pay for the school
costs and soon they also run out of food, but William continues to attend science classes and
going to the school library, where he learns about wind energy and also how to build a mill to
bring electricity and running water to the village, something he was able to do.
The film has an exciting story, that it’s a true story that brings us lessons about the importance
of education, persistence and, the importance of unity in a time of crisis, therefore, I give the
film a 4 out of 5 and, without a doubt I would see it again.
