L1 ASSESSMENT TASK

1. Reflect on the encounter between Jesus and the Blind Man. What is your comment on this
while reflecting on your personal life? And why?

Reflecting on the encounter between Jesus and the Blind Man in the video, I am
moved by Jesus' compassion and the power of his actions. The scene shows Bartimaeus,
the blind man, sitting by the roadside, ignored by society because of his disability. Despite
his physical blindness, Bartimaeus clearly recognizes who Jesus is, calling him "Son of
David" and asking for mercy. His persistent calls to Jesus even when the crowd tries to
silence him show his strong faith and determination to find healing.

Thinking about this story in my own life, I see the challenges and obstacles I face
every day. Like Bartimaeus, I have experienced times of darkness and uncertainty where
the path forward is unclear. However, this story reminds me that there is always hope for
healing and change. Bartimaeus's strong faith and persistence in seeking Jesus' help,
even against the odds, highlight the importance of maintaining faith and trust in a higher
power, especially when facing tough obstacles.

2. Express your vision/aspiration by drawing a symbolic object that is realistic and somehow
integrates your purpose and direction in life. Write below in your drawing the core message
of your vision/aspiration.

Expressing my vision and goals, I think of

a lighthouse. It stands for guidance, hope, and
clarity in dark and uncertain times. The
lighthouse, tall and steady, shines a light that
helps ships find their way safely. I want to be like
that lighthouse standing strong in tough times,
giving hope and guidance to others, and helping
people find their purpose in life. At the core of this
idea is the message of resilience, faith, and
believing that even in the darkest times, there is
always a light to guide us. Just as Bartimaeus
found healing through Jesus, I am inspired to
keep moving forward with faith and trust. With
persistence and strong belief, there is always
hope for a better tomorrow.
