Sazova Science, Culture, and Art Park offers a unique pilot environment for smart
grid and energy efficiency innovations across a 268,230 sqm campus with varied
buildings, from animal habitats such as animal shelter, underwater world
(aquarium), a science center, administrative buildings and facilities, visitor centers,
and operational buildings. Within the park, there are 22,451 m² pond, an
amphitheater (1500 people capacity), a 17th-century galleon as a museum, a
'Noah's Ark' theme located on the rocks, and a Fairy Tale World with 4 castle
floors, 8 towers and 18 turrets built on an area of 2,000 m², which has become the
symbol of the park. Our real-world setting showcases technologies in various
infrastructures, highlighting energy innovation's potential for a broad ecosystem.
The area is an active hub for learning, culture and public involvement.
Collaborating with us grants access to this dynamic sphere, offering insights into

animal shelters, and underwater world more energy-efficient. Such eco-friendly
technologies will help us achieve our climate mission for educational, cultural, and
social services, ensuring they remain accessible to all community segments
without compromising on quality or scope. We are committed to transforming our
campus into a model of sustainability and energy efficiency. Partnerships with
technology developers/providers specialized in smart grids and energy efficiency
will assist us in reaching this goal. We are particularly interested in solutions that
improve water usage, lighting efficiency, and heating systems in terms of energy
consumption.

An Integrated Solid Waste Conversion and Energy Production Facility has been
established and is operational in our city. Household wastes are separated into
organic waste, residual waste, and recyclable waste at the Mechanical Separation
Facility. The biogas produced from organic wastes taken to the Biomethanization
facility is burned to convert into energy. Part of the heat generated during
production is used in the greenhouse located within the facility. However, mixed
wastes unsuitable for recycling, such as agricultural and forestry wastes, domestic
wastewater treatment sludges, textile wastes, end-of-life tires, and non-recyclable
or non-separable plastics, paper, wood wastes in domestic solid waste, cannot be
valorized as Refuse Derived Fuel. Leveraging the waste heat generated during our
facility's production phase, these wastes can be processed in suitable procedures
to be transformed into Refuse Derived Fuel. We have a project to establish a
Refuse Derived Fuel Facility for this purpose. Drying and separation are critical
steps in this process. Waste heat can be used for drying. After drying, non-
combustible materials will be separated, and the final product will provide fuel
usable in heavy industries like cement factories. This fuel emits significantly less
carbon compared to coal, and the energy produced has higher value. This project
offers land, waste heat, and unprocessed raw materials, proposing a practical
application and location for such technologies. The project's impact lies in
converting products that would otherwise be buried underground into energy,
thereby reducing environmental pollution and serving as a model for other cities
with the processes used here.
