Bokoni Platinum Mines is an ARM owned mining operation situated on the eastern limb of the Bushveld Complex.
This operation is planned to produce circa 400,000 oz per annum. Its project plan includes the construction of new
decline shafts with combined capacity of 240,000 tons per month, a new concentrator plant, tailings storage facility
and associated surface and underground infrastructure.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Miner UG. The position
will be based at Bokoni Platinum Mines at Atok (Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality, Sekhukhune District
Municipality in Limpopo).
MINER UG (C2)
Purpose of the Job:

To effectively operate a stoping panel and/or development end during a shift by ensuring safe working practices,
continuous inspection of panel and/or end conditions, planning to achieve operational targets and monitoring the
availability of resources. The miner has legal accountability for stoping panel/development end and blasting in
terms of the MHSA, will be required to contribute and assist the panel team with the execution of all the panel
tasks.
• Grade 12, for all new applicants.
• Grade 10/AET Level 4/NQF Level 1 for all Ex Bokoni Platinum Mines employees.
• Literacy in English.
• Competent A & B.
• Blasting Certificate (DMRE/MQA Level 3).
• At least three years’ experience in a mining environment.
Job Requirements:
• Experience in the mechanised mining will be an added advantage.
• A previous experience as either LHD, Bolter or Drill Rig Operator will be an
advantage.
• No limitations to working underground in confined spaces.
• Fitness Certificate.
• Understanding & application of Health & Safety Principles.
• Making safe of the workplace.
• Installation of support.
