2.2 Analyse
Production design helps the company to select the process of manufacturing that is
manual or machinery.
Production design helps the management to enhance the quality and ability of a
product by selecting the right shape pattern and function of the product.
A product design helps the company in making a product that is easy to use, can
perform multiple functions and sold at reasonable price. This can be done with the
right selection of a production design.
2.3 Identification
It achieves the desired product quality. It reduce the development time and cost of
the product. It helps to attract more and more customers.
Designing the Production Flow: Map out the sequence of operations required to
produce the product efficiently. This involves considering factors like the order of
operations, equipment needed, and layout of the production facility.
14
2.4 Evaluation
Design and Engineering: GTPL starts with the design phase where they collaborate
collab
with clients to understand their requirements. This phase involves CAD/CAM
design and engineering to create detailed plans for the casting process.
Material Selection: Once the design is finalized, GTPL selects the appropriate
metal alloys based on tthe
he application requirements, considering factors like strength,
durability, and cost-effectiveness.
effectiveness.
Pattern Making: Patterns are created based on the design specifications. These
patterns are typically made from wood, metal, or plastic and serve as templat
templates for
the mold-making
making process.
Mold Making: GTPL creates molds using the patterns. They may use various
molding techniques such as sand casting, investment casting, or die casting,
depending on the complexity of the component and the volume of production.
Melting and Pouring: The selected metal alloys are melted in furnaces at precise
temperatures to achieve the desired consistency. Once molten, the metal is poured
into the prepared molds under controlled conditions to prevent defects like porosity
or shrinkage.

3. Production Development Process
3.1 Explanation
First of all purchase department purchase raw material including Casting from the
outside till they are having fully inside production facility.
All kind of machining is done in this stage. Workers are doing Productions under the
supervision of supervisor. At this stage, work of Fabrication and work of powder
coating are done.
After production, all goods are going for 1st stage inspection. Once they get
approval, it’s going for assembly.
Here all the parts are assembling which are purchased and which are produced both.
And at last quality controller check the quality of machine and at last and its
dispatch department firstly do work of packaging and then its Dispatched.
3.2 Analyse
There will be one type of machinery used for all the process just the methods
may change a bit with ever product. The product, tools, material are
standardized.
Any fault in flow of production than it may have to stop the process to avoid the
mistake.
16
3.3 Identification
Product Design and Engineering: Designers and engineers work together to create
detailed specifications, prototypes, and blueprints for the product.
Quality Control: Quality standards and protocols are established to ensure that each
product meets the company's standards and customer expectations.
Production and Scaling: Mass production begins, and the product is manufactured
in larger quantities. Production efficiency and scalability are key considerations
during this stage.

Gautam Techno Cast Private Limited, like any other manufacturing company,
employs operation management principles to ensure efficient production processes
and delivery of high-quality products to its customers. Operation management
involves overseeing various aspects of the production process, from raw material
procurement to product distribution.

process, are central concepts that underpin how our Army fights. Mis- sion
command is both a philosophy of command and a warfighting function. The
operations process (plan, prepare, execute, and assess) is the Army's framework for
the exercise of mission command.
5.4 Evaluation
The program evaluation process goes through four phases planning, implementation,
completion, and dissemination and reporting that complement the phases of program
development and implementation. Each phase has unique issues, methods, and
procedures. In this section, each of the four phases is discussed.

6. ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning)
6.1 Explanation
Inventory Planning and Control is a key aspect of Supply Chain Management that
involves the management of inventory levels in an organization to ensure the
optimal balance between having enough stock to meet demand and minimizing
excess inventory that ties up capital.
The primary objectives of Inventory Planning and Control are to minimize the total
cost of inventory, ensure customer satisfaction by avoiding stockouts and
overstocking, and maintain the proper level of inventory to support production and
sales activities.
(I) Recommendation :
Gautam technocast make the billing process but they cannot manage inventory.
Gautam technocast should get suggestions from experts and they can update their
software and they do updating in their technology also.

7. Facility Layout
7.1 Explanation
A facility layout, or plant layout, is the operations plan used to arrange workers,
equipment, and machines in a way that increases efficiency in the production
process. There are three main types of facility layouts: process, fixed position, and
product layouts.
The main goal of layout is to ensure that work, materials, and information flow
smoothly through a system. A basic definition of a facility is where a business does
its job. How space is set up significantly affects how work is done and how things
like work, supplies, and information move through the system.
Facility layout is found in operations when workers and equipment are located in
areas depending on similar tasks. The process layout will have all the same types of
tools for a specific function in one area, and other tools or employees in another
area. Each group performs different tasks in the process.
7.2 Analyse
26
(II) Limitation of Layout of Gautam Technocast Pvt. Ltd.
Lesser flexibility
Immobility of material
7.3 Evaluation
These are the basic Requisites of ideal plant layout which determines the success of
production.
So, both company’s layout is designed in a manner that the twin objectives of
improving efficiency and reduction of costs are achieved. It should minimize
movement of man and machine. Smooth operation of the manufacturing process
should be facilitated and work in process inventory reduced.
27
8. Supply Chain Management
Selection of Organization
8.1 Explanation
supply chain management, the management of the flow of goods and servi
services,
between businesses and locations, and includes the movement and storage of raw
materials, of work-in
in-process
process inventory, and of finished goods as well as end to end
order fulfilment from point of origin to point of consumption
consumption.
28
(II) Scorching of Raw Material
Supply chain management starts with sourcing of raw material include casting
forgings and fabrication but Jyoti CNC Automation limited has totally in-house
manufacturing facility so as and when they require casting and forging for the
production, they acquire it from outside.
Supply chain management require placing the final product at their place. The
success of supply chain management is largely depended on this stage.
8.2 Analyse
supply chain management (SCM) is management of the flow of goods, data, and
finances related to a product or service, from the procurement of raw materials to the
delivery of the product at its final destination.
Supply chain management is the handling of the entire process of turning raw
materials into a final product. Without the supply chain, we would not have access
to food and health products, or the items that allow us to work, travel and entertain
ourselves.
Supply chain management is important because it can help achieve several business
objectives. For instance, controlling manufacturing processes can improve product
quality, reducing the risk of recalls and lawsuits while helping to build a strong
consumer brand.
Supply chain management has five major functions. These include purchasing,
operations, logistics, resource management, and information workflow.
