• Extreme sports such as skydiving and skiing are very dangerous and should be

banned. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this view?

In considering the notion of banning extreme sports like skydiving and skiing due to their
perceived danger, I firmly disagree with such a proposal. Firstly, these sports are not as
hazardous as commonly believed. With stringent regulations, safety procedures, and
advanced equipment, the risks associated with these activities are significantly mitigated.
Additionally, extensive training and preparation ensure that participants are well-
equipped to handle the challenges involved. For instance, in skydiving, thorough training
in parachute handling minimizes the likelihood of accidents. Secondly, advocating for a
ban on these sports undermines individual freedom and choice. Enforcing such a ban
would pose practical challenges and infringe upon people's right to pursue activities they
find enjoyable. Furthermore, the determination of which sports should be banned and the
authority to enforce such regulations raise ethical and logistical concerns. In essence,
rather than imposing bans, society should focus on promoting responsible participation
and enhancing safety measures in extreme sports.
