Consider the following dataset describing the attributes of some candidates appearing for an
interview.

For this data, calculate the distance matrix:

i. Calculate the distance matrix for each attribute separately. Clearly show the assumption you are
taking for the attribute category (e.g. nominal, ordinal etc.) and why? Write down the formula for
distance calculation and show the steps for each pair and then show the distance matrices. (1+2+2)

ii. Now show the distance matrix for overall dataset, write the explanation and steps properly. (5)
