1. Summarise the project life cycle phases and describe each phase.

Project life cycle phase is a stage of the project work from start to finish. The phase
typically has 4 stages, depending on the size and complexity of the project itself. The
project lifecycle has following 4 phases:

1. Initiation phase: Initiation stage is actually the kick-off stage. During this stage, one
collects all the information which is required for the key stakeholders. During the initiation
phase, one defines all the problems and details which are to be done in the project.

2.Planning phase: Planning phase is the foundation of the project. All the detailing of
the project work, procedure for doing it and resources needed to do all is planned during
this phase.

3.Implementation phase: During this phase, all the work of the project is to be done. It
is basically the stage of implementing the project. The main outputs of this stage include
products, services, and deliverables. During this stage, everything planned is put into
motion and complete deliverables for achieving the projects objectives.

4. The closing phase: This is the phase where things are wrap up. It is the stage of
completion of the project. At this stage, all the documentation is handed over,
deliverables are released and contracts are terminated as project is completed.
